The Stuff of Movies

This sounds like something out of the movies:

Russia said yesterday it had caught four British diplomats “red-handed” in espionage after releasing surveillance video revealing how they used a fake rock as an electronic version of the age-old “dead-letter drop”.

The FSB domestic intelligence agency, the main successor to the Soviet-era KGB, said a decision on whether to expel the diplomats – who were named by the Russian media – would be taken “at the political level”.

The agency claimed that the diplomats had been closely involved in funding pro-democracy groups in Russia, raising accusations that the Kremlin was trying to besmirch the reputation of organisations promoting human rights and good government.
