Hot air and ill-informed banter

I’ve spoken to my cat about this, but it doesn’t seem to do any good.

A Quick Note

FacebookTweetEmail

I just checked my google mail account (which is where all mail from this domain is forwarded) for the first time since last week, and I had 772 new e-mails and 4561 spam messages in the spam filter.

I read the first fifty, and then just got overwhelmed/disgusted by the volume and deleted everything. If you had something important to tell me, and sent me an e-mail, if it is still important, send it again.

Sorry.

I’m rather impressed you got through 50. I would have cried at the number and deleted them all.

I had forwarded you a great-sounding business proposition from a gentleman who works at a Nigerian bank. Would you like me to re-send it? We’re talking millions here, John, millions.

I sent you an offer for your domain name for $500,000. But, since I had not heard back, I just assumed you liked your website name THAT much, so I am withdrawing the offer.

Yes, I just started getting those. It is annoying because it is on an account that never got spam before.

I hope you at least marked those 50 messages as spam–marking spam as spam (and–god forbid–unmarking non-spam marked as spam) should greatly improve the spam filter. At least, I know for me, Google catches most of the spam I get.

    Gray,

Nice to see Bush and Kerry agreeing on something. Now can we put some campaign restrictions on purported Osama tapes? Maybe require a little “Paid for” disclaimer at the end, from whatever organization produced/forged the tape?
