This site is getting great deal of spam (and I am not talking about PPGAZ*), so I may accidentally delete a comment that is in the moderation queue. If a comment of yours ‘disappears,’ t isn’t because I don’t love you (although that may be the case), or because I am a jack-booted fascist trying to stifle debate (if that were the case, I would turn off the comments section), but because your message got buried in 250 spam comments for free ringtones.
*That was a joke, PPGAZ.

Incidentally John, I haven’t checked it out, but I know WordPress has a lot of plug-ins out there, so maybe you could get one that’s better at spam filtering. For example, I’ve had pretty good luck with Bayesian filtering–it doesn’t take that much training to become *very* good at filtering out the spam.

Have you heard the new tax plan for Michigan proposed by the GOP candidate DeVos?
What they’re going to do is sign up 2 other states into the new tax program. Each of those states in turns signs up 2 states. And so on and so on. Then each state will buy stamps from their parent state for 36 cents each who actually gets them for 35 cents, and sell them back to the Post Office for 37 cents.
In volume, this scheme will amount to billions of dollars!
in the end we all profit!

I WISH we got spam for just ringtones. Ours is all for online gambling or Viagra (a.k.a. poker, or poke-her.) It’s a travesty to have posts like that on such a nice upstanding God-fearing blog like Scrutator.

Ummm…my spam (what gets through) seems to consist of OTC energy stock pushers, Japanese invitations to trashy talk websites, and pleadings from Chinese small high-tech companies to please buy their products. (We’ve got a pretty good filter.)
And every now and then the old Nigerian scam. I loved the one I got about getting money out of Iraq. Scams gotta keep up with the news…
