Disagreements are healthy; personal attacks are not.

Decision time: keep arguing about the last election, or try to win the next one?

The low info voters probably won’t even notice or remember by their next lap around the goldfish bowl.

Motto for the House: Flip 5 and lose none.

There is no right way to do the wrong thing.

Every reporter and pundit should have to declare if they ever vacationed with a billionaire.

Someone should tell Republicans that violence is the last refuge of the incompetent, or possibly the first.

Come on, media. you have one job. start doing it.

Republicans got rid of McCarthy. Democrats chose not to save him.

Baby steps, because the Republican Party is full of angry babies.

Celebrate the fucking wins.

If America since Jan 2025 hasn’t broken your heart, you haven’t loved her enough.

They traffic in fear. it is their only currency. if we are fearful, they are winning.

You come for women, you’re gonna get your ass kicked.

Too often we hand the biggest microphones to the cynics and the critics who delight in declaring failure.

You don’t get to peddle hatred on saturday and offer condolences on sunday.

Go Stillers.

Open thread.

*** Update ***

That sucked. If Colclough goes out to field another punt this season, I am calling for Cowher to resign.

Capitals, sorry, not going back to retype.

BEcause I live in AZ, I have to watch the Cardinals / Rams instead of what I wanted. Seahawks / Giants.

Levi Jones is from where I live now, Eloy, AZ.

Worthlessberger has another stellar game. Let’s see….Chaz Batch comes in and smokes Miami….they then trot out an appendix-less Worthlessberger–without conditioning and little pre-season practice. Color me surprised you got waxed.

Until Cowher stops worshiping the Big Ben Myth and actually plays the best QB on the team, you’ll continue to get rolled. Meanwhile….another BEARS victory. Imagine that.

    Grossman for President. Word.

I actually agree, but I also think that once Ben is healthy, he will be the best QB on the team. But as of right now, he’s not that guy. I was in favor of Batch playing last week…this week was kind of a toss-up considering Ben got a game under his belt beforehand. But he still looks pretty crappy. I know the Steelers tend to start the season slowly, but this is annoying.

By “sucked” you mean “kept the greater Philadelphia area from committing suicide because it was so fucking AWESOME”, then yeah, it sucked. How’d you like Fat Albert running 98 yards for the touchdown? Because that was SWEET.

Also, I’m happy I switched out Big Ben for Rex Grossman in my fantasy football team. A good choice.

Hmmm. I don’t watch televised sports. Open Thread.

How about this, then? Maybe good for a post topic.

For Americans Killed in Iraq: A Period, Not a Comma:

In a report here at E&P, we observed that in this exchange, Blitzer asked about the latest setbacks in Iraq and indications that civil war may be at hand. Bush, with a slight smile, replied, “Yes, you see — you see it on TV, and that’s the power of an enemy that is willing to kill innocent people. But there’s also an unbelievable will and resiliency by the Iraqi people…. I like to tell people when the final history is written on Iraq, it will look like just a comma because there is — my point is, there’s a strong will for democracy.“

Someone explain what the fuck this asshole means.

I think it means ‘WORST FAILURE OF A PRESIDENT EVER.’

This sucks on several levels. The Bears are my team, but I have a bevy of Seahawk fantasy players, including Hasselchuck and Seatle’s D. I hate weeks with these types of conflicts…

I guess I should be thrilled that Grossman still has his spleen and other assorted innards…

Alexander is out a couple of games with minor broken foot. That may change the Bears – Seahawks game a little (ya think?) Still Morris, Branch Strong etc. We’re not hurting for speed and receivers.
