Nice Timing

I am reasonably sure the childrens book “Why Mommy is a Democrat” will be horrible in ways I can’t even imagine, but is the weekend that Tom Mark Foley was just exposed as a predator and pervert and the GOP House leadership looks to have gone a long way to cover it up really the best time for Red State to poke fun at liberal values?

    Hey what are you doing posting this late? I just wrote a really long post about Clinton at the bottom of the first page and your new post just bumped it off to the next page – or off to ‘the void’. I thought it would at least last until tomorrow!

    Christ. Now the wingnuts start frothing when kindergardeners are told that sharing is good?

    If only I’d realized just how Marxist my indoctrination was, back at Christ Episcopal School.

    So those “share days” my kids had at parochial school when they were little were really a form of Marxist indoctrination?

    So what do they have at Red State school? “Give me that it’s mine, f*ckface!” days?

    Don’t tell them about those “All I Really Need To Know I Learned In Kindergarten” books, either! It’s all total pinko commie Liberal hippie Marxist anti-Bush, anti-Republican, anti-Iraq war propaganda!

    * Share everything.
    * Play fair.
    * Don’t hit people.
    * Put things back where you found them.
    * Clean up your own mess.
    * Don’t take things that aren’t yours.
    * Say you’re sorry when you hurt somebody.
    etc.

    The whole concept of the ‘state’ having ‘schools’ and therefore ‘shared toys’ is probably way too ‘Marxist’ for them as well.

    From redstate.com/:

    You are seeing this page because the current DNS service has expired.
    This is usually just a temporary error while the DNS service is being renewed. But you will want to ask your system administrator to make sure they are aware of this error and payment is made.

    If your system administrator is having you use the wrong resolving name servers you will want to notify them of this mistake right away.
    If you are looking for free resolving name servers (for desktop and personal computers) we suggest you use the free service at Resolving Name Server.

    Funny.

    Anybody following this one? Apparently almost all of the U.S. command in Afghanistan will now be answering to a British general. Wasn’t the issue of U.S. troops serving under foreign command a big screaming deal with the righties when Clinton was president?

    Then again, a president who could turn control of our ports over to Dubai is
    probably capable of doing anything, even farming out our troops.

    Yeah, but you didn’t think the Republicans actually meant their criticism did you?

    It’s perfectly acceptable to have US troops serving under foreign generals, or have Congressmen trying to engage in sex acts with little boys if you are a Republican.

    It’s okay, because the chain of command goes like:
    American troops -> British general -> Tony Blair -> W. -> Cheney

    Sorry to say, and much more sorry to agree with red state in any capacity, but that book is so mocking and condescending to children that it deserves to be poked fun at constantly and without mercy. The author of that book should be ashamed of himself for that entirely pathetic attempt at indoctrination. No doubt his children will grow up to be authors aswell, they will likely pen many titles about how fucked up their childhood was.

    Also I would like to express my resentment towards the author for making me stand in agreement with red state. Now I have to go take a shower.

    Do you know for a fact that Tom Foley and Mark Foley are different people? Isn’t it possible that George Soros set this whole thing up by paying Tom Foley to change his name, switch parties, and become a pedophile? (Channelling commeters from Tom Maguire)

    It’s FAR more likely that Soros used his Jew gold to start a eugenics program to clone pedophiles. So, Mark Foley is not Tom Foley, but they are GENETICALLY IDENTICAL. Plus, they were grown in the same sort of Axolotl tank, so that settles the nature versus nurture thing.

    They carried out the Clinton train murders to shut up a couple of teenage pages who wouldn’t go along with the Foley entrapment. And then they killed Vince Foster, who had flown into a jealous rage upon discovering that Hillary was sending suggestive faxes to female pages.

    That RedState thread is predictably hilarious–I had no idea things like sharing and going to school were “degenerative” and “self destructive.” Even funnier is that in their zeal to decry partisan children’s books, they completely forgot about Help! Mom! There Are Liberals Under my Bed! and its thigh-slapping sequal, Help! Mom! Hollywood’s in my Hamper!. Idiots.

    But really, the world does not need partisan children’s books. Is there something wrong with Harold and the Purple Crayon, Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, and the works of Dr. Seuss? Well, to RedStaters, there probably is. To much sharin’ and carin’, not enough gay bashin’ and Reaganomics.

    I simply can not bring myself to go to Red State anymore.

    But as for “sharing” and being nice to people being somehow bad…I’m sure my Southern Baptist preacher grandfather would be very perplexed if he was still alive. Do they not allow “Love thy neighbour as thyself” in Sunday School anymore?

    That’s where I learned it…who knew that a SBC church in the Ozarks was a hotbed of liberal indoctranation.

    What I find really sad is that suppssedly conservative people are suddemly twisting themsleves into pretzels about whether a guy who is doing what Foley did is “okay” because in some states the age of consent is 16. I wonder how many of these people would have been so eager if Foley was a Dem. They’d be citing Foley’s own law. The one poster, Steve gets it.
