Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

There are more Russians standing up to Putin than Republicans.

Republicans seem to think life begins at the candlelight dinner the night before.

“Facilitate” is an active verb, not a weasel word.

Bad people in a position to do bad things will do bad things because they are bad people. End of story.

After dobbs, women are no longer free.

Peak wingnut was a lie.

When do we start airlifting the women and children out of Texas?

Not all heroes wear capes.

“Loving your country does not mean lying about its history.”

If rights aren’t universal, they are privilege, not rights.

But frankly mr. cole, I’ll be happier when you get back to telling us to go fuck ourselves.

We know you aren’t a Democrat but since you seem confused let me help you.

This isn’t Democrats spending madly. This is government catching up.

Not loving this new fraud based economy.

Never entrust democracy to any process that requires Republicans to act in good faith.

Republicans choose power over democracy, every day.

Wow, I can’t imagine what it was like to comment in morse code.

American history and black history cannot be separated.

An almost top 10,000 blog!

Perhaps you mistook them for somebody who gives a damn.

Usually wrong but never in doubt

I’m starting to think Jesus may have made a mistake saving people with no questions asked.

When you’re a Republican, they let you do it.

Take hopelessness and turn it into resilience.

Santorum’s career in the Senate is done, and I want to be one of the first to say that is a good thing. I will post more big developments as they happen.

*** Update ***

The House sorostitute, Katherine Harris, has been defeated, surprising no one. Looks like my money is safe.

Its not time to gloat for the winners, its time we start putting this country back together and move forward restoring our pride and standing in the world.

The Dems are going to have the spotlight and we need to hold them more accountable than the reigh-wing have held the republican party…

I agree with JoeTx, in spite of the fact that I just got back from Redstate after doin’ a little Santorum gloatin’.

Cheers to that. I really, really, really, really, really want the Dems to win big tonight. For no other reason than to hold people accountable. That doesn’t mean the Dems get a free, or even easy ride.

But I’m a far left moonbat, so what do I know?

Delighted for you guys that Santorum’s gone. There are plenty of people with whom I disagree, politically. But that man — I couldn’t even begin to understand the mind-set that would lead to some of the things he’s said and done.

Whoo-ee…you should see them bellyaching over at RedState about how CNN is calling results with only single-digit percentages being in, because that’ll “suppress voting” in western states.

That’s right — the GOP is losing seats not because they’re a corrupt, incompetent bunch of miscreants. Nope. It’s all the fault of Lou Dobbs.

I agree that in general it is foolish to call elections with single-digit percentages in, and probably bad form to call them before the polls close too. In short: “Dewey Wins!”

Yeah, I don’t like calling races early…and a lot of these races are swinging 8% or more depending on reporting…craziness.

Dewey Wins indeed. Good point. Ohhhh! Santorum’s speeching on CSPAN about how he’s going to spend more time with his family. His son doesn’t look happy.

And Pooh, yeah…Katherine is way smarter than George Felix Allen.

Pb – it is bad form. Unfortunately, it’s not going away anytime soon. They do it up here too, and western provinces were getting pissed off, because they felt like their votes didn’t matter after Ontario and Quebec had been counted. So, our last election, the satellite companies blacked out non-local CTV and CBC affiliates. So you could only get news from your own time zone, or from the U.S. I mean, if you really wanted to know how it was going, you could find it, but it wasn’t right in people’s faces.

Welp, CBS News is calling the House for the Dems.

In AZ, we have a shot at getting rid of the despicable JD Hayworth, King of Bombast.

Republican incumbent senator and profoundly empty suit Kyl appears to be headed for narrow reelection. This is really too bad.

Dem Governor Napolitano wins with nearly 70% of the vote. She’s a quietly gay woman who wins big in a mostly red state.

And it looks like we have a shot at sending the idiotic DOMA measure down to defeat, still too early to call.

All in all, despite the disappointment over the hideous Kyl, I am proud of Arizona tonight. We are going to add one, of not two, important Dem House seats to the new Dem majority.
