Also, when will the media stop chastising Wolfowitz? Must this poor, decent man explain his every move?

NEVER! You are with Abu or with the terrorists! Bob Barr and his CINO friends can write all the letters they want. Abu Gonzales is a loyal friend and will get the Presidential Medal of Freedom, right after he’s fired.

Since when did it become a crime to give your girlfriend an illegal promotion and raise? She’s his girlfriend, for Jeebus’ sake! If you can’t give your girlfriend an illegal promotion and raise, we are no longer Amerika.

“Another fun week for the White House of Usher”

Since when has this administration been known for making shitty R&B…and can we expect Condi doing a bit of bumpin’ and grindin’ on MC Rove…or visa versa?

I look forward to see Congress drag Gonzales from office kicking and screaming. The longer he sticks around in there, the worst the DoJ looks, and the more people begin harken back to the good ole days of Clinton when you didn’t have to hear about this stupid shit on a daily basis.

That, and a few months of White House house cleaning will give the Dems some much needed street cred. Nothing says “I’ve got balls” like beating the crap out of the top sleaze-bag neo-con lawyer in the administration.

Rachel, IMHO, they are keeping Condi out of the public spotlight, and more than likely doing very tedious diplomacy work with our until recently, stoic partners in the middle-east, it has already been widely acknowledged that she has little to no pull with the people she needs to find common ground with, so the less she is in the public spotlight, then less that little fact gets probed…and yeah…I said probed

    What’s a CINO?

    ZSC, how’s Mrs. Claus?

Presumably, either succumbing to zombie infection as we speak, or else smoldering in a pile of dead zombies, a bullet in what’s left of her putrescent brain. Merry Christmas, kiddos!

The Post has a nice little op-ed by that other America- hating Sheehan:

“What I found in discussions with current and former members of this administration is that there is no agreed-upon strategic view of the Iraq problem or the region. In my view, there are essentially three strategies in play simultaneously.

The first I call “the Woody Hayes basic ground attack,” which is basically gaining one yard — or one city block –at a time. Given unconstrained time and resources, one could control the outcome in Iraq and provide the necessary security to move on to the next stage of development.”

It all boils down to his original statement but if you want a break-down of the break-down in Iraq from someone who does know what the hell he’s doing, give it a read.

Speaking of Ms Rice, where is she?

I was wondering the same thing until the bombing in the Iraqi Parliament. She made a statement that even by her completely debased standards was stunning in its cupidity. Then I stopped wondering where she was and went back to wishing she’d STFU.

    Good link, Jake:

It would have been a great honor to serve this nation again. But after thoughtful discussions with people both in and outside of this administration, I concluded that the current Washington decision-making process lacks a linkage to a broader view of the region and how the parts fit together strategically. We got it right during the early days of Afghanistan — and then lost focus. We have never gotten it right in Iraq. For these reasons, I asked not to be considered for this important White House position. These huge shortcomings are not going to be resolved by the assignment of an additional individual to the White House staff. They need to be addressed before an implementation manager is brought on board.

    Off note to mrmobi,

I recently decided to check out the Real Networks Rhapsody music system online (subscription of $14.99 mo) and they have several Firesign Theatre recordings online. Just wanted to let you know. Each album side is available for download purchase at .89 as well.

Just thought you’d like to know.

I think I lost most of my faith in the World Bank when Wolfie got the job in the first place. If he stays, then yeah, that last smidge of respect for the institution is gone. If, OTOH, he gets quite publicly and embarassingly fired the WB might regain some of the respect it lost when it hired him in the first place.

And speaking of ships, I wonder how long it will be until someone tries to Swiftboat Gen. Sheehan.

Haven’t you guys figured out yet that “World Bank” is just another Orwellian term that means little in regards to actually helping people? It’s about as benevolent as the Federal Reserve is federal.

It’s not that Orwellian–after all, that’s what “bank” already means to a lot of people. But yeah, nothing has changed on that font in a while–for example, just look who was its President from April 1968 to June 1981…

I’m probobally showing my ignorance, but the only context in which I recall having heard the term “bund” used is to describe German-American groups with Nazi ties. While I personally think Abe Foxman is an asshat, I don’t think that term is appropriate. Of course, if I’m wrong, then sorry for the trouble.
