Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Only Democrats have agency, apparently.

Balloon Juice has never been a refuge for the linguistically delicate.

And we’re all out of bubblegum.

Wow, you are pre-disappointed. How surprising.

I like you, you’re my kind of trouble.

Reality always lies in wait for … Democrats.

We are builders in a constant struggle with destroyers. let’s win this.

The GOP couldn’t organize an orgy in a whorehouse with a fist full of 50s.

“But what about the lurkers?”

When I decide to be condescending, you won’t have to dream up a fantasy about it.

They traffic in fear. it is their only currency. if we are fearful, they are winning.

Fuck these fucking interesting times.

When your entire life is steeped in white supremacy, equality feels like discrimination.

Anyone who bans teaching American history has no right to shape America’s future.

A Senator Walker would also be an insult to reason, rationality, and decency.

Let me eat cake. The rest of you could stand to lose some weight, frankly.

It’s always darkest before the other shoe drops.

JFC, are there no editors left at that goddamn rag?

Never entrust democracy to any process that requires republicans to act in good faith.

Nothing worth doing is easy.

Make the republican party small enough to drown in a bathtub.

Damn right I heard that as a threat.

Shallow, uninformed, and lacking identity

Republicans are radicals, not conservatives.

…And they were all determined to give her a drink of water because she was thirsty without her feeding tube. Of course she would have drowned if they did. Whatever. BTW – that was when I started reading Balloon Juice. Memories…

Dug Jay demonstrates exactly how it works! Faced with some actual “slam dunk” facts, he responds with – slander and innuendo!

    Classic.

Oh, don’t be too stressed about it. DJ didn’t really do any original research — he just followed the link on LGF.

You’ve got to say think for DJ — his taste in music is impeccable.

I guess ever since Dan Rather, everythings automatically a forgery-at least those things that wingers don’t like!

Oh come on. That memo is clearly a forgery!

The fonts and kerning are all wrong.

I wonder anybody remembers that American Life episode about the battle between a college student in New York and the old lady in the next apartment. The old lady once drove out a drug dealer in the building so she decided that anybody in the building under thirty must also be a drug dealer so she gave them the same treatment. The lengths to which she went to harrass ordinary college kids was pretty disturbing. I guess she was trying to win back the attention/praise from that one victory.

    Anyway.

Look, Bill Frist is a billionaire because he is a smart doctor who knows how to game the healthcare system. You can’t tell me that a guy that smart would be wrong about Terri.

    ‘Nuff said.

Frist was right. She could have taken that walk if we hadn’t killed her.

Oh, definitely. My favorite wingnut, Mark Noonan, is still insisting that the memo is a complete fake, even after being shown evidence to the contrary. His evidence for his assertion that it’s a complete fake? His assertion that it’s a complete fake. Uh-huh. Poor guy.
