Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

You cannot love your country only when you win.

I really should read my own blog.

Perhaps you mistook them for somebody who gives a damn.

Thanks to your bullshit, we are now under siege.

I would gladly pay you tuesday for a hamburger today.

Teach a man to fish, and he’ll sit in a boat all day drinking beer.

Jack be nimble, jack be quick, hurry up and indict this prick.

There are more Russians standing up to Putin than Republicans.

That meeting sounds like a shotgun wedding between a shitshow and a clusterfuck.

You are either for trump or for democracy. Pick one.

So it was an October Surprise A Day, like an Advent calendar but for crime.

Nancy smash is sick of your bullshit.

“Alexa, change the president.”

Reality always gets a vote in the end.

Oh FFS you might as well trust a 6-year-old with a flamethrower.

Hell hath no fury like a farmer bankrupted.

The fight for our country is always worth it. ~Kamala Harris

There are times when telling just part of the truth is effectively a lie.

Do we throw up our hands or do we roll up our sleeves? (hint, door #2)

Sadly, media malpractice has become standard practice.

Dear legacy media: you are not here to influence outcomes and policies you find desirable.

They punch you in the face and then start crying because their fist hurts.

The world has changed, and neither one recognizes it.

Nothing says ‘pro-life’ like letting children go hungry.

Pretty clearly, something is horribly wrong with this website. And I am not talking about my opinions.

If you know anything about WordPress and are willing to help fix this mess, please email me.

What’s wrong with the site? Looks ok to me.

Same here — and I use WordPress, as muttered before, so if it was site-wide I’d’ve seen something at this point.

I got some very weird database errors earlier, nothing I’ve ever seen before.

I guess I thought PJM was involved, that’s why I bitch about it all the time.

I didn’t know you guys had to administer it yourselves.

I know nothing of WordPress and cannot offer any good advice. I can contribute money if that would help.

Otherwise all I got is moral support.

I’ve seen a few database error messages come up at the top of BJ pages, but they’re intermittent. Sorry I can’t help, knowing nothing of WordPress.

Maybe the problem is that you’ve been blocked in Turkey.

You shouldn’t have made fun of Jack B. Right now he’s torturing Bra n’ Panties Medium to find out where you live.

But as you can see, we’re reading you loud and clear.

I really thought TZ was going to take this and run with it…really, really hard and fast. Only to have JayCee misinterpret and fight back, leading to a huge threadwar.

    Dammit.

    WordPress, not my thing.

Any time I see the words MySQL or Microsoft Access, I run away as fast as my tiny little legs will carry me. Not interested in play databases. Must have big, industrial strength database infrastructure.

Of course, if you look at what happened to Wells Fargo the last few days, you can argue that having big iron infrastructure is no guarantee that your system will work either.

    Thud.

    Hey! TZ, that’s *my* line.

(Unfortunately, I can’t help with wordpress either. All I’ve been able to do is file a couple of PR’s w/ John; beyond that, I’m useless.)

Well, that’s clearly Microsoft’s fault. I’m not exactly certain why, but I’m going to go read /. now and find out.

No — it’s Google’s fault now. Microsoft is less evil than it was because there somebody else for the 2 minute hate.
