Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

These days, even the boring Republicans are nuts.

“Jesus paying for the sins of everyone is an insult to those who paid for their own sins.”

SCOTUS: It’s not “bribery” unless it comes from the Bribery region of France. Otherwise, it’s merely “sparkling malfeasance”.

You passed on an opportunity to be offended? What are you even doing here?

Is it negotiation when the other party actually wants to shoot the hostage?

It’s always darkest before the other shoe drops.

When your entire life is steeped in white supremacy, equality feels like discrimination.

Historically it was a little unusual for the president to be an incoherent babbling moron.

A snarling mass of vitriolic jackals

Following reporting rules is only for the little people, apparently.

The republican speaker is a slippery little devil.

If ‘weird’ was the finish line, they ran through the tape and kept running.

Anne Laurie is a fucking hero in so many ways. ~ Betty Cracker

The republican ‘Pastor’ of the House is an odious authoritarian little creep.

When we show up, we win.

Let me eat cake. The rest of you could stand to lose some weight, frankly.

They were going to turn on one another at some point. It was inevitable.

The desire to stay informed is directly at odds with the need to not be constantly enraged.

Russian mouthpiece, go fuck yourself.

When I was faster i was always behind.

The press swings at every pitch, we don’t have to.

When you’re a Republican, they let you do it.

“But what about the lurkers?”

The Supreme Court cannot be allowed to become the ultimate, unaccountable arbiter of everything.

Wow. I didn’t expect this result. That NFC West sure is tough this year, I guess.

Hey, it was a good weekend for me. Purdue won, Browns won, Steelers and Ravens lost with Cincinnati poised to do the same… doesn’t get much better than that. :)

South Florida is now ranked higher than UF.

The Bucs are 3-1 and are looking to be the team to represent the NFC South this season.

And Rush Limbaugh is still an -ssh-l-.

This has been your Weekend Update. Back to you, Bob.

    Another Thirtysomething-to-something Cowboy win.

    Patriots… two weeks away.

But first, at Buffalo (/snickers) next week.

It’s foggy and dreary in Pacifica this morning. We are happy that Cal is ranked #3 for the first time since dirt was invented, but are looking at a Niner team that is not only awful, but really, really awful.

In the weekend football feast (Cowboys and Green Bay fan here – good weekend for me) I missed the fact that The Steelers lost to The Cardinals. Who loses to the Cards? I thought Pittsburg was for real this year. Wow.
