Brian Linse, aka AintNoBadDude, has a new movie coming out in a few weeks named Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead, and it looks incredible. The film has some giant names in it- Albert Finney, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Ethan Hawke, and you can screen the trailer here.

Go check it out.

Two words that will keep me out of the theater: “Ethan” and “Hawke.”

I will watch pretty much anything with Albert Finney or Phillip Seymour Hoffman.

I thought Hawke was alright in Lord of War. He isn’t great, but he is a servicable actor.

I’m impressed. Did no one notice it was directed by Sidney Lumet, the director of Network, The Pawnbroker, Dog Day Afternoon, Prince of the City, Serpico, Fail Safe and Twelve Angry Men?

I saw this movie at the Toronto International Film Festival. Lumet was there and introduced a couple of the actors.

It wasn’t as good as I’d hoped Lumet’s next movie would be, but it was an entertaining way to spend a coupla hours.

The narrative style was also a bit interesting – kinda like Memento, but I don’t think as many people will be as confused by it.
