Even if he loses his long-shot bid for the White House, Rep. Tom Tancredo will be leaving the U.S. House of Representatives at the end of 2008.

Tancredo, 61 , waited until after the Colorado Rockies’ last out of the World Series on Sunday night before announcing that he plans to retire from Congress at the end of this, his fifth term.

I guess being in the minority is no fun. But hey- VDARE is hiring!

Someone put Michelle on suicide watch.

    We can give Tancredo a gun, a motorcycle, and diplomatic immunity, then send him out – one man against millions – to save us from the encroaching Mexican Menace. It’ll be just like Judge Dread, but rather than Silvester Stallone, Dread will be a geriatric embittered old ex-Congressman.

    Maybe someone should clue him in that this isn’t considered bad news by most people. It isn’t worthy of the ‘sneak it in when no one will notice’ treatment. Geesh, can these guys do anything right?

    Sure, they’d get on the nerves of everyone else in the bar, but if they hung out in winger bars they could amuse everyone with their sad stories of how the world had abused them and they could occasionally call in ICE agents to arrest each other and otherwise entertain the denizens.
