Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Boeing: repeatedly making the case for high speed rail.

Perhaps you mistook them for somebody who gives a damn.

Live so that if you miss a day of work people aren’t hoping you’re dead.

I might just take the rest of the day off and do even more nothing than usual.

Motto for the House: Flip 5 and lose none.

If you thought you’d already seen people saying the stupidest things possible on the internet, prepare yourselves.

Hey Washington Post, “Democracy Dies in Darkness” was supposed to be a warning, not a mission statement.

Conservatism: there are people the law protects but does not bind and others who the law binds but does not protect.

Russian mouthpiece, go fuck yourself.

Well, whatever it is, it’s better than being a Republican.

Reality always lies in wait for … Democrats.

This fight is for everything.

Trump should be leading, not lying.

Hi god, it’s us. Thanks a heap, you’re having a great week and it’s only Thursday!

“In the future, this lab will be a museum. do not touch it.”

Republicans: The threats are dire, but my tickets are non-refundable!

Do we throw up our hands or do we roll up our sleeves? (hint, door #2)

You can’t attract Republican voters. You can only out organize them.

“A king is only a king if we bow down.” – Rev. William Barber

No one could have predicted…

The cruelty is the point; the law be damned.

The next time the wall street journal editorial board speaks the truth will be the first.

A norm that restrains only one side really is not a norm – it is a trap.

A democracy can’t function when people can’t distinguish facts from lies.

i just read a report on some conservative blogger’s website where he proved, conclusively, with his copy of Madden 92, that there’s no way this could happen.

Is that a record for the number of laterals in a single play?

Not only rugby, but from the looks of it, rugby sevens. Yet another reason why American football bores the hell out of me.

Doesn’t it appear that the defence gives up at the end. That were more then just a couple of defenders just standing around and watching.

The scary thing is that if the Redskins were to hire that defense, they could have kept the Pats to under 50 points.

It would have been even better if they could have upgraded their 8mm camera to a cheap, $250 miniDVD camera. I have VHS-C tapes with more clarity.

Well if that doesn’t prove that Scott Beauchamp and Glenn Greenwald are liars, I don’t know what ever will.
