Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

if you can’t see it, then you are useless in the fight to stop it.

The current Supreme Court is a dangerous, rogue court.

Every one of the “Roberts Six” lied to get on the court.

And now I have baud making fun of me. this day can’t get worse.

I swear, each month of 2025 will have its own history degree.

We are aware of all internet traditions.

Hi god, it’s us. Thanks a heap, you’re having a great week and it’s only Thursday!

Why is it so hard for them to condemn hate?

Shut up, hissy kitty!

We know you aren’t a Democrat but since you seem confused let me help you.

Republicans got rid of McCarthy. Democrats chose not to save him.

Come on, man.

Of course you can have champagne before noon. That’s why orange juice was invented.

Republican speaker of the house Mike Johnson is the bland and smiling face of evil.

President Musk and Trump are both poorly raised, coddled 8 year old boys.

Giving up is unforgivable.

My right to basic bodily autonomy is not on the table. that’s the new deal.

T R E 4 5 O N

It’s pointless to bring up problems that can only be solved with a time machine.

Sadly, there is no cure for stupid.

When we show up, we win.

My years-long effort to drive family and friends away has really paid off this year.

This fight is for everything.

Pessimism assures that nothing of any importance will change.

EEEL – first of all, you’re a bastard for doing so well.

Secondly, it could be that 7000 people got the same distance you did, and so they just rank them at random, instead of having a 7000-way tie for first.

    Ok.

Grab the plane. Move it to the upper left corner and then let the mouse go out of the window.

Staying outside the window, move the cursor to the right side of the window and then move it back in about 1/3 to halfway up on the right side.

    Simple huh.

Okay, only 70m so far, but on a laptop! No separate mouse.

BTW, once you get tired of throwing the plane yet still have more work to avoid, you could try George. Or Hillary. While the latter might be safe for work, not sure about your eyes.

144 and change on that Xbox version. If you look at the way they slope the ground at that point, anything over 140 will come down to a game of inches.

Saw that, but it’s only harmful if kids put the little beads in their mouth and some of the coating dissolves. Little kids never put things in their mouth, right?

Who needs regulation, inspection or oversight? If kids go into a coma after putting one of these toys in their mouth or licking one then their parents won’t be buying them more toys, so the manufacturer’s will take note of the reduction of revenue and be more careful. Problem solved, right?

I nominate this for the “Free Hand of the Market” award.

every one of these little games has a sweet spot, if you start with that knowledge it’s just a matter of finding it. It’s like there is always one spot in a web or desktop based bowling game that will let you get a strike every time, it’s a given and just needs to be found.

For example go to candystand.com and play the Hockey game, slapshot shootout or something like that, once you play with it for a while you will find that if puck placement and timing and the shot are just right you score every time, and this is repeatable and even predictible.

It’s like that little game where you have three houses and have to hook up the utilities without crossing the lines — there’s a way around it, but it’s tricky to find.
