Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Second rate reporter says what?

You cannot shame the shameless.

Technically true, but collectively nonsense

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Authoritarian republicans are opposed to freedom for the rest of us.

Let there be snark.

“woke” is the new caravan.

Nancy smash is sick of your bullshit.

I really should read my own blog.

Take your GOP plan out of the witness protection program.

I’ve spoken to my cat about this, but it doesn’t seem to do any good.

Come on, media. you have one job. start doing it.

Everybody saw this coming.

It’s the corruption, stupid.

If senate republicans had any shame, they’d die of it.

This blog will pay for itself.

This really is a full service blog.

New McCarthy, same old McCarthyism.

fuckem (in honor of the late great efgoldman)

The GOP couldn’t organize an orgy in a whorehouse with a fist full of 50s.

So it was an October Surprise A Day, like an Advent calendar but for crime.

Come on, man.

I can’t figure out what Michelle is mad about:

I’ve often wondered what it would take for MTV to clean up its act. Now, we know. The aging music network wants Middle Eastern eyeballs, and it’ll do anything to cater to its audience–including toning down raunchy content and covering up scantily-clad hostesses. If it were America, the libs in charge of MTV would consider this caving in to Neanderthal social conservatives.

Is Mrs. John Doe mad because MTV is caving in to the Islamic extremists? Or is she mad because they won’t cave in to the religious fundamentalists here in the hedonistic US of A? Or is it possible that she is mad at both of those things (the most amusing and sadly, probably the most likely)?

Or is it just a slow news day and there are no Graeme Frost’s to Beauchamp?

*** Update ***

An alert commenter points out that in Mexico, MTV doesn’t even broadcast in English- no doubt codes for infiltrating the border. When will the treason stop?

She’s just as incoherent as ever – if something doesn’t fit in her narrative (What? corporations operating in other countries must cater to the social mores and corporate guidelines of those countries? This helps profits? That’s crazy talk) they just find some way to smear it using their “Madlib Outrage Post Generator” ™

    But more importantly

Or is it just a slow news day and there are no Graeme Frost’s to Beauchamp?

Will there be a day when you can construct the entire sentence (outside the articles) with metaphors for right-wing sleaze?

Or, is she just plain mad as a hatter? Malkin’s “If it were America, the libs in charge of MTV would consider this caving in to Neanderthal social conservatives,” shows that she doesn’t know (again) what the hell she’s talking about. Libs don’t run MTV, business people do. If having the hostesses dress like Little House on the Prairie would have made big bank then that’s what we’d have seen. It wasn’t. Now they’ve apparently decided that the bank is in burkhas so the girls will cover up. It’s all about the Benjamins – or Euros, Michelle.

“If it were America, the libs in charge of MTV would consider this caving in to Neanderthal social conservatives.”

You know what the difference is? Here, they don’t need to cater to social conservatives. MTV (as it is today) is socially acceptable (for the most part), meaning, they draw in good ratings with the “raunchy” content.

That same content won’t fly in the Mideast.

Bottom line, if MTV thought they would increase ad revenue in the US by catering to the social conservatives, they probably would.

Sorry, I have to share this. Maybe it will cheer Michelle up to know that today is National Ammo Day:

Seattle resident Chris Pierce had left Butch’s Gun Shop on Sunday and was heading for the countryside in North Bend to fire rounds when he heard about National Ammo Day.

“I think it’s a great idea. It sends the message that firearms aren’t going away,” he said. “You can’t take out one part of the Constitution without ruining all of it.”

Well, I had to read it twice to answer your question, but I think I got it. The trick is to imagine using the brain power and clarity you’d have after self-lobotomizing with a .45. Then you can think like Michelle and do the math properly.

She’s pissed because MTV will skin down the vids they show for Arab markets. Something they should do here, but they stubbornly won’t because MTV hates America. It follows they will be considerate to the Arab audience because…easy…MTV not only hates America, they hate Americans. Of course, Americans = SoCons.

See, clear as day. All it takes is a .45 to the temple you waterboarding pussies. Be like Michelle.

    My interpretation of Malkin:

1: “The media is dominated by liberals”

2: “Liberals treat the same moral values differently depending on the religion of the person espousing them.”

2: “No one listens to us Christians because we are peaceful but they listen to the Muslims because:

    a. Liberals look down on Christians and Christianity

    b. Islam is not ‘western’ and neither are most Muslims and therefore automatically given more respect by liberals than anything from their own culture

    c. Muslims will cut your fucking head off”.

Yes. The company that brought you Tila Tequila’s bisexual dating and Real Worlders wandering around naked is just sooo excited to see the US come under Sharia*.

*Sharia: something that is going to be transported here, apparently via magic, that the hempy, hedonist moonbats will instantly embrace, while the right wing moral scolds will fight valiantly to defend our freedom**.

** Despite the fact that many of their leading lights seem to believe that becoming a more fundamentalist nation would be a boon to the U.S. and would actually help our relationship with Islam. See also: Dinesh D’Souza, Michelle Malkin.

Sharia! I just kissed a girl but can’t see her.

For all the talk of burquas and sharia, isn’t the ideal society of Evangelicals the image of women pregnant and barefoot in the kitchen? Doesn’t Stalkin’ realize that if the extreme right that she so zealously supports were to have its way she may or may not have the approval of ‘the menfolk’ to blog away at will like she does now in our lovely free country?

Oh wait, strike that. Reread the piece and apparently she’s upset with Stefani because she’s not going to wear a cheerleaders outfit during her concert thus capitulating to the social conservatives. Oh, and by the way, the muslims have not expressed enough outrage about the opening act who is even more lewd and obscene. Thus proving that they don’t care about lewd and obscene, or something like that.

As usual, we heard not a peep from the Muslim students about the lewd, obscene, indecent behavior of Gwen Stefani’s touring partner, the devout Muslim R&B singer Akon, whose on-stage antics make Stefani look like a Catholic school girl:

How stupid do you have to be to think you can but a majority position in Microsoft, much less only for the express reason of punishing teh gays. Not like one in four Microsoft employees are gay or anything. Not like the software industry exists because it is tolerant of freaks and that’s why cap hill and the castro have grown massively. Not like we spend many hours a day writing out pages of pure logic, that can be compiled for a computer. It’s like the most productive areas of the economy are where gay tolerance is a given. Where transgender tolerance is a given. Really where as long as you don’t destroy the sturctural supports for the building is a threshold. If she believes that the father of computer science was right in taking his own life due to the prosecution he faced.

One of the three people you can conclusively say deserve credit for ending world war 2.

To cozy up with the Nazis because we shared a common belief that fags were gay. And should die.

she’s just seriously addicted to traffic (publicity). gotta feed the outrage machine, since that’s waaaaay easier than actually coming up with a thought ala Coulter. guess she’s finally shed the journalist label, thankfully.

funny how at the bottom, all this R stuff is nothing but endless recycling of preconceptions. maybe there was a thought in there once other than DFH, but who knows where. maybe what they all do is watch reruns of “All In the Family” but without watching till the end?

It comes somewhat from the Dinesh D’Souza school of thought that America’s excesses simultaneously inflames and JUSTIFIES Islamic contempt for us. Therefore in order to defeat the Islamofascists we must become just a few notches more like them. Doing so in Arab world but failing to do so here is just typical leftist appeasement.

    Owwwwwwwww.

    Have not seen those. YouTube?

Here’s a link to both the Malkin cheerleader video and the “Atlas Shrugs” My Sharia goodness.

The “Bush was Right” video is similarly hilarious.

What passes for satire and comedy on the right is truly a window into their “minds”, as it were.

guess she’s finally shed the journalist label, thankfully.

I don’t see that she has–she still thinks of herself as a Very Serious Journalist doing Very Serious and Important Work that the Commie Liberal Media Won’t Do Because It Hates Conservatives and America (Which Are One and the Same).

Or did she finally cop to being a sad little hack in that thread?
