Erick Erickson would like to take this moment to explain why liberals are better with computers.

Erick Erickson, editor of the popular conservative megablog RedState, conceded that progressives currently enjoy an advantage over conservatives online—though he attributed it to an asymmetry in free time, since conservatives “have families because we don’t abort our kids, and we have jobs because we believe in capitalism.”

Which is, of course, why they’re asking for handouts instead of running more ads.

John McPain now speaks: “We don’t believe that government has all the answers.”

Does it occur to this man that steadfastly pimping a war despised by the majority of Americans doesn’t really do anything but create a cognitive dissonance when you turn around and try to sell the idea that government really can’t be trusted?

Look at this fool, and compare him to the candidate you heard five minutes ago.

It’s over, kids. The era of the bumfuck GOP is over.

Good Lord. After watching Obama’s terrific, moving speech, surrounded by 18,000 cheering supporters in Madison, this McCain event appears to be taking place in someone’s closet.

Hearing Sen. McCain refer to what he’d seen as a P.O.W. reminds me of why I once thought of this guy as a personal hero. Maybe, given that he’s going to get demolished in the general election, we’ll see that old McCain again. Maybe he’ll try to rescue the GOP from the agents of intolerance. Not likely, but hey, it could happen. Huh, and a Frost allusion, that’s cute.

Obama displayed his characteristic eloquence. I particularly liked the way he payed tribute to McCain’s service to our country, then ripped him to shreds. Very smart. But let’s not kid outselves here, folks. This election is going to close. As Pat Buchanan was pointing out on MSNBC, the GOP knows that the only way they can avoid a total blowout is to go negative on Obama in a big way. That means we’re in for a very nasty campaign. And don’t misunderestimate (ha, ha) Big John’s comrade in arms, GWB. Expect to see lots of terror alerts and other dirty tricks designed to scare the shit out of people. Expect to see lots of terror alerts and other dirty tricks designed to scare the shit out of people.

Bwahaha! I can see it all now:
“Islamofascist U-boat believed to be operating in US waters”
“FBI arrests brown-skinned guys for disliking the government”
“Park Police nab foreigner taking pictures of Washington Monument”
“Petraeus predicts victory in six months if McCain elected.”

I actually had to search around a bit to find Obama’s unedited speech. CNN and Yahoo seemed to have cut out all the good bits about McCain and the link on TPM was trimmed too.

I have to concur with ThymeZone. If it looks like a duck, talks like a duck, and is named McCain…I’m afraid it’s dead.

Like most people, I figured the Republicans would eventually rally around the nominee, but I don’t think that’s going to happen. And unless Clinton stages a dramatic turnaround, they won’t get the benefit of a divided Democratic party either. That business in Washington is going to kill McCain when Obama adds it to his speech and starts stumping in all the states Huckabee won. The only thing that’s going to keep him above 40% is sympathy.

On a happier note, George W. Bush himself predicted Hillary Clinton would win the nomination and lose the general election. Obama is on his way to proving the Boy King wrong yet again.

I thought I would visit The Great Orange Satan and RedNeckState to see what each side is saying. At the GOS, many Hillary supporters were bitter and both sides were sniping back and forth at each other. One Obama supporter posted that the site http://www.hillaryis44.com is full of Obama ‘haters’, and that they refer to Obama there as ‘Obambi’ and they are constantly ripping on him. I have never been there, so I went to that site and I have to say that while I have seen Obama supporters say stupid things, they pale next to the crap that Hillary supporters are dumping on Obama.

There are calls for the right to start sticking it to Obama now to knock him out so Hillary wins, that the right ‘floated a few things yesterday’ to see how they would work against him (Hooray!), that Hillary ‘vet Obama and vet him HARD’, and on and on. When I see people wishing the opposition would attack a fellow party member, then these people are already around the bend.

RedNeckState peeps are mourning the Obama wins as they would rather face Hillary, and a few there suggested that the right should go after Obama now to save Hillary. A couple of people were worried that the right has been focusing on the wrong person up to now, and that they have nothing to go after Obama with (so get to work and dig up dirt!).

When Hillary’s people are wanting the right to save them, and the right is considering doing so to save themselves, you know they both realize that they are in some serious trouble. That each is looking to the other to save themselves is making me laugh my ass off at it all. NOW they love each other! ;) My assessment that the right is not geared up to go after Obama because they had been focusing on Hillary is probably right. You can bet that there is a lot of effort being put out on the right to get it in gear and to hope it is not too late.

The Magical Unity pony only unifies his followers, and sows discord and dissent on those who will not follow him. All hail the MUP!

    ;)

“We are the makers of History, not its victims”.

Thus McCain last night. That about zero-sums up the philosophy of dead end neo-cons and the Bush Administration. If the word hadn’t come to mean everything and nothing I’d even call it fascistic. Most amazing damn thing I’ve heard in a long time. When I got up this morning, first thing I asked myself was whether I was gonna make some history or be its victim, figuring that anybody who was up before me could potentially make history before me and somehow make me its victim, or had already done so and pre-victimed me, leaving me behind in making history, the way that Obama’s history making is making Clinton a victim.
    So I posted this.

When I saw Obama’s speech, I saw the next President. They’ve been trying to frame his as weak, unable to withstand the onslaughts that Clinton has, all the bad things that people say. That’s the set-up for what’s coming the next few weeks.

Damn, I am still reading the above Hillary site, and it is quite entertaining. It is like watching some blind drunk out shooting clay pigeons with a machine gun. They are all over the place. Hating that independents and republicans could cross over vote yesterday, then welcoming an independent that just joined them to say that she voted for Hillary, saying that the repub voters who voted for Obama last night will vote McCain in the general (cuz Faux Nooz said so!), that the Hillary supporters are voting for McCain if she does not get the nod (same with their friends and family!) and on and on.

    Some gems:

btw: i hope no one’s stupid enough to believe that I’m telling this site 100% of what I know from the Obambi campaign. crucial details are sent to who needs to hear them. ;) you guys know aobut 60% of what i have learned.

outrageous. despicable. these democratic primaries make me sick, the way they let republicans freely walk in and out.

again. the day these dirt republican and Obama tricks dies, is the day I’ll turn vegetarian, commit my life to God, and promise virginity for the rest of my life.

I’ll tell you how. Word of mouth and Obama started it, you remember all those flyers, crossover for a day and take out HRC, from Nevada, a lot of that got passed on thru RW websites. He gave them the idea to do it.

The bastard orchestrated the republicans against the democratic party, he deserves a kicking for that, I will never vote for him, I just can’t.

Let’s work on the upcoming contests, and framing FL/MI in the context that if F*ckhead wants to discard their votes, he and Donna Brassiere can’t be going around pouting about super delegates.

I’m assuming these margins will make John Edwards weak in the knees; that’s likely what he was waiting to see.

    F him too

um. I think it’s time for Bill and Hill to just vet Obama and get it over with. Better the dems do it on their own than the repubs. let’s just vet him now and see how he does….

ugh. i swear, the next time I see Obama in person within 1 foot of me, i am going up to him and socking him in the stomach.

The thought of this guy just dancing naked with the Republicans is vile, disgusting, and wretched.

vet him. I have been CALLING FOR THIS since Iowa. VET HIM HARD. DO IT WELL AND THOROUGHLY. NO MORE NICENICE CAMPAIGN. The American Public doesn’t dislike negative campaigns so long as the negative stuff isn’t LYING.

would it not be hard for obama to make the case since he actually campaigned in Florida? He is the only one that campaigned there and not one darn media has pointed this out.

Okay here comes BO on C-Span.

OH! OH! LOOK! LOOK! SEE THE TELEPROMPTERS?

THAT BASTARD OBAMA “That’s what happens when we use 9/11 to scare up votes” re: HRC. GD! I HOPE SHE EATS HIS LUNCH ON THAT ONE.

Ok, enough. But I am going back to read some more. This is some of the most entertaining crap I have seen in some time! Almost like a slow-motion, non-stop train wreck.

Yup, I am a rubbernecker. Guilty as charged. ;)

I don’t know. If it was done tastefully, in a “Three Graces” kind of way, with Obama in the middle with crown of laurel and peonies and Cheney, Rumsfeld and Bush as fauns or nymphs tossing rose petals about, it might work.

    Oh man, some real doozies:

Is that cocaine/gay oral sex scandal true about obama??

    Godwin’s Rule:

No he CAN’T. I am so sick of this “Yes we can” crap. All what’s going on is very similar to the Nazi time. Hilter was also very inspiring and he was a very good speaker. See what happened!

Glad people agree with me :-). This Obamaminia is really similar to what Hilter did in Germany. He gave a lot of rousing speeches and had all these big gatherings (BHO likes to get tens of thousands of people together right?). After listened to Hilter’s speeches, everyone was like “Yes leader”, crap like that!

This man is very dangerous to say the least. People are pretty stupid too.

the drug/gay sex scandal – it’s so funny in the sense that i don’t even think the gay sex part is the scandal – it’s the drug use. anyway, there’s no proof other than a he said/he said…wish that this had gotten traction and attention earlier if it were to to be investigated.

barack obama getting blowed while doing cocaine? it was from newsvine and a youtube video with a guy claiming he has receipts and can describe barack’s gentialia…ew.

Well, I am sure the red state and the repubs will soon pick the story up, if it is making the rounds and they will have no qualms in putting this guy front and centre on tv hooked up to a polygraph

    Oh the humanity! ;)

Ok, first, when you buy cocaine, you can get a receipt for it? It’s what, deductible now or something?

Also, I can report to you all with absolute certainty that there was no pledge or loyalty oath or anything for voters who wanted to vote R in the Virginia primaries yesterday. I was part of almost giving the state to Huckabee yesterday. Not because I like him or anything, but because there hasn’t been much good on TV lately and watching the CPAC Republicans panic is at least mildly entertaining.
