Real tough guy. Too bad the kids didn’t taser him to get him under control. I mean, when someone is out of control, that is what you do, amirite?

I’m tasing in the rain… just tasing in the rain…
What a glorious feeling…. I’m tasing again.

I haven’t been able to watch The Wire this season but it looks like McNulty has sunk pretty low.

Oh hooray. Another insecure shithead who got into the force to show “Them.”
I have no way of proving it but I suspect once America’s PDs find a way to screen for schmucks like Joey Bagodognuts the country will become 24% happier.

The end is hysterical! “Is that camera on, ’cause if I find myself on -”
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH, Officer Douchebag!

Anyone catch the sheriif’s deputy dumping the quadriplegic man out of his wheelchair in Tampa? Because she didn’t believe him, so she walks behind him. lifts his chair and dumps him on the floor.
When will these people learn that ANYTHING they do these days will show up on TV or Youtube. Imagine the horseshit that cops used to pull before there was actual proff of their fuctardedry…
note: yes, there are good police, etc. But the neo-militia crap disgusts me.

The last words you hear is where he sees the camera and goes after the other kids.

Hey, if they tased him it wouldn’t be crime or anything right, I mean tasing is just minor right?
rawshark
listen to a rap song someday. They may exagerate a touch but they aren’t making shit up.
chopper
gotta love baltimore cops.
chopper
oh yeah, and god bless youtube. i’m glad there’s an actual use for it outside of WoW nerds posting lame videos of the exploits of their mage and his “+5 vorpal blade”.

from the article srv linked:
because they want to give the kid a medal..right?
Ugh
The best way to do these things is to file a formal complaint carefully detailing the incident based on the video, but don’t mention the video. When the officer swears up and down that nothing like that happened, as guys like the officer in the video almost invariably do, produce the video showing him a liar. Thus, he’s in trouble for (i) harassing a citizen; and (ii) filing false reports/lying to the internal affairs guys.
Jay
Both of my parents are former state troopers; my sister has been in both the federal and state court system and has applied to become a police officer. I won’t say that I give the benefit of the doubt to the cops, but I’m willing to agree that there are two sides to every story.
Having said that… after watching that video, all I can say is, what a fucking pig.
I practically had tears in my eyes watching it; that cop was on a complete and total power trip and deserves to lose his badge, if not have charges pressed against him for assaulting that kid and taking his skateboard away. (Like that will happen.)
Nothing that cop said or did would have encouraged any respect for authority from anyone, and made every other cop’s job that much harder as a result.
What a complete shitbag.
jcricket
Proving that not only where the DFH 100% right, but it looks like all the black people (i.e. the “shiftless, lazy, criminal rappers”) who we condemned were right too.

YouTube. Ours until they take away for our protection.

oh my god. what a complete douche. Yup, typical immature, unbalanced cop with multiple issues, working out his problems on duty instead of checking into a psyche ward.
Hope he gets fired for this. Cannot BELIEVE he laid hands on that kid.
danelectro
apparently they did try to file a report. http://openearseyes.blogspot.com/

The best part of the video is when the cop accuses the skater of “disrespecting his badge”.
Yeah, because the kid is the one who’s being disrespectful and belligerent.
jj
I know that the majority of cops might be good guys, nice to kittens and babies, familymen etc, but guys like the one in this video make their jobs a million times harder because they actively erode public trust/respect for law enforcement.
Given my experience with police, I can honestly say I need a cop in my life about as much as a fish needs a bicyle.
To me, the ostensible “public safety” they provide isn’t worth the risk of getting some trigger happy goon who’s afraid of his own shadow, some suburban macho man out to show the darkies who’s boss, or some generic douchebag on a power trip.
I say this as an honest law abiding citizen who just so happens to have enough melanin in his skin to warrant a lifetime’s worth of unwanted police harrasment.
Black people have been warning society for decades now that cops are out of control – the small percentage of bad ones are running amok and the “good” ones are to cowed to speak out against it.
Johnny Skateboard just got a watered down version of what African-American and Latino teens have been dealing with for a very long time now, and it took a video recording of the officer’s actions to bring even a semblance of public scrutiny to the (now) problem.
Not a minute to soon I say.

Here’s the link to the cops dumping the quad out of the wheelchair.

That’s the Baltimore Police? Looks like a campus cop.

Too bad the kids didn’t taser him to get him under control. I mean, when someone is out of control, that is what you do, amirite?
Depends on your politics. Democrats taser. Republicans SHOOT TO KILL.
Pixie
ugh..it’s so hard to even watch things like this. Forget about watching the vid of the person getting dumped out of the wheel chair…I don’t know what hurts me more, seeing these citizens berated and humiliated or seeing these disgusting power trips conducted by the people who are supposed to protect us.

I have jury duty coming up. I can’t wait for the voir dire where they ask you if you’d be more likely to believe the testimony of a police officer than a defendant or witness, like they did last time I was called for jury duty. Bwahahahaahahahahahaha!!! They’re going to love my answer. (Not on your fucking life, oh, can I say “fucking” in a courtroom, yer honor?) I’ll be off that jury in half an hour. Not that I wouldn’t like to help some poor schlub get off some bogus charges.
Most of the cops I’ve run across have been complete douchebag asswipes.
“Protect and serve” my ass.
DUDACKATTACK!!!
Being a longtime resident of Baltimore, I must say I am very surprised by this officers total lack of professional conduct. Nearly every member of the BPD I have ever dealt with (well, on the right side of the law at least) had never acted like that- ever.
Ted
Yep, precisely why I don’t trust any police, anywhere, ever. Sorry all you good, decent, and polite cops out there, but since you don’t drum fucks like this out of your forces, you can share their reputation. And it’s not like you don’t know who they are among your ranks. You work with the fuckers, and you know what they do.
Police are bad news for the law-abiding in addition to criminals.
T. Scheisskopf
The FISA vote today. These two videos. The general assumption by the authorities that we, the populace, are too stupid to grok the glaring injustices and disparities in the administration of the laws between the plutocracy and their minions and “the one-fodder-units”.
Anyone want to open a pool on when the societal merde hits the ventelateur? I say 5 years, tops, sooner than that, most likely.
Jake
Bears repeating. Preferably through a loudspeaker right by that wanker’s ear.
Forget about the Legions of Jackbooted Thugs coming to haul us off to Gitmo; one nimrod who makes shit up as he goes along can make life fairly fucking unpleasant for whoever he’s picking on and his fellow officers.
myiq2xu
If the cop knew that other kid was recording him I’m sure the other kid would have “resisted arrest.”
Years ago when the Rodney King video surfaced the first thing I thought was that it was a good thing for whoever shot it that the cops didn’t see him, cuz if they did he would have been next.
Snark Based Reality
The Great Orange Satan just gave you a front page link. You are clearly an agent of the liberal conspiracy against our great nation.
mac
That guy is a bicycle cop (from the newspaper photo.) Talk about unclear on the concept–those guys are supposed to be out there getting along as well as they possible can. Not to mention not knowing what ‘dude’ means.
What we have here, is a failure to communicate.
bill
You know that do you? I know plenty of cops and I could see them doing this (except one). Do you really know any cops? Or are you just saying the PC “I’m sure that most are good people”
Hang out in a poor part of town and you will see this every day. It’s just that now there may be a video recorder going.
maxbaer (not the original)
He’s right. He’s not a dude, he’s a dick. And he looks like mall security, not even a real cop.

Notorious P.A.T.
We should all move to Baltimore, since the police there don’t have anything bigger to worry about than kids on skateboards.

I’m basing it on my own personal experience. Look, I’m a black dude.
I stopped counting the number of times I’ve been randomly stopped for a once over by cops. Most times they were OK, but the times they weren’t OK were truly hair raising….and then there are the expereinces of my relatives, friends, and contemporaries who put things into focus.
Police have too much power to abuse their authority and do not face sufficient consequences when they do.
That doesn’t preclude cops from being good husbands, fathers and Kiwanis members, it only makes it more difficult to understand why they think it’s alright to mistreat people.
J. Michael Neal
I find that it varies tremendously by jurisdiction. In my experience, Minneapolis cops are terrible. I’ve seen a lot of behavior not too different from that. St. Paul cops are pretty good. Minnesota State Troopers are among the most professional people I’ve ever dealt with, and I’m not limiting that to cops.
Elvis Elvisberg
guys like the one in this video make their jobs a million times harder because they actively erode public trust/respect for law enforcement.
Thirded.
I’ve dealt with cops who were ninjas of defusing potentially inflammatory situations. They exist.
I’ve also dealt with cops shouldn’t be trusted to order a sandwich, for fear of the ensuing power trip.
Jake
And keep Michelle Malkin from leaving nose prints on people’s kitchen windows.
This guy knows very well what’s less than two blocks from the Inner Harbor; it would do something horrid to him with the handlebars of his bike before shoving him in a sewer. That’s why he was hassling kids at the mall.
Preston
A good friend of mine was a cop. When he tells the story, it’s basically, “They really were all dicks. I couldn’t put up with it anymore.”
He’s now a very well-respected teacher, and the community he serves loves him. So I guess it worked out for society in the end.
Cyrus
LOL. Um, that parenthetical of yours is doing a lot of work, there.

Well, it could be that fruity yellow uniform with shorts, and possibly the midget car as well.

I had jury duty about eight years ago, and one of the biggest revelations was how utterly boneheaded cops can be. And these were Montgomery County, MD cops — one of the more professional forces I’ve seen.
My opinion of cops has really plunged over the last few years. Lots of them seem to be little better than thugs.

Today’s Mot du Jour is Sousveillance.
Bought me a 1GB microSD card for my phone. Shoots an hour of video with sound at 640×480.

When did the police become a criminal organization?
What has happened to this nation.
Darkness
The kid shooting the video is sharp. Keeps the camera at his side, doesn’t adjust it often to draw attention to it. And he aims it at the ground when the cop shifts his attention to them near the end of the video.
What we need is a bluetooth mini camera you can clip onto a hat or a breast pocket.
More Moveez Dudez!
(That guy should move to the ranch. He’d be happier if he didn’t have to deal with people)
Zuzu
So what’s it mean when he asks the kid if he’s “from the county”?
JR
“Liter o’Cola. Do we sell Liter o’Cola?”

Zuzu –
Baltimore City is surrounded by, but independent of, Baltimore County.
It used to be much smaller than the city, but has become much larger than the city over the last fifty years for the usual reasons suburbs become larger than their cities.
There is no government in the county below the county, so towns like the famous Dundalk or Towson are really just Census Designated Places.
edmund dantes
HAHA The joke is on you. Cops are getting their legislator friends and DAs to actually prosecute people that videotape cops using illegal wiretapping laws. Legislators are actually writing laws around this country making it illegal for you to videotape or photograph police.
Go spend some time at The Agitator. You’ll see there is a much larger problem out there, and much worse is being done than what happened to this kid.
Ryan Frederick is a great example. He had a hobby. He liked to garden, and one of his favorite plants was a Japanese Maple. One week someone breaks into his house, and they don’t steal anything. A week later, a SWAT team working on an informants (possibly the criminal that broke in or was sent in) tip decides to raid his house in the middle of the night with a no knock raid because they suspect he is running a huge Marijuana grow operation. Apparently they didn’t do any surveillance, and there aren’t any botanists on the police force.
Mr. Frederick already on edge because his house had been burglarized just within the past week and the guy’s didn’t take anything defends his house by shooting at the intruders breaking into his house in the middle of the night. Unfortunately he was unlucky because he made a million to one shot and he hit one of the officers in the armpit where body armor is non-existant and killed him.
Cops search the house. Lo and behold Mr. Frederick was a casual pot smoker and had two joints in his house. Those grow lights and pot plants of a major grow operation? Non-existant. Just lots of Japanese maples. Google Image it.
Mr. Frederick? Now being charged with First Degree Manslaughter of a cop.
Or there is Corey Maye, or the Vietnamese guy in Chicago, or Kathryn Johnston in Georgia (lucky the Informant actually flipped on the corruption there), or the case of the mother and baby shot by a swat team, or the propensity for dogs to be shot even when it’s the wrong address, or… well the list goes on and on. When towns that only have a population of 5000 are spending money on SWAT teams you know there is something seriously wrong with Law Enforcement in this country.
Mr. Frederick could have just as easily been arrested on his way out the door. Or they could have waited until a day when he went to the grocery store or bank. There wasn’t any need for a high stress, high intensity, middle of the night raid on a non-violent suspect. A little time and effort also might have helped them to realize that he had Japanese Maples and not pot plants, but I guess it’s more fun to go in busting down doors, guns blazing, etc.
Jamey
And he drove away in a Smart Car.
Motherfucking cop. He’s on video. Ha-ha.
Jamey
You people are missing the obvious: The kid knew the whereabouts of a nuc-u-lar bomb near Baltimore harbor.
That cop is a hero.
rdale
The kid is lucky; in Utah he would have already been tazed and the cop would have been given a pat on the back and told he’s doing a good job. Go to YouTube and put in “Utah taser” to see a video from a couple of months ago of a Utah Highway Patrol trooper tazing a guy for turning his back on him, and then threatening to do the same to the guy’s pregnant wife. After a “thorough review,” the cop was totally cleared. Even then the guy is lucky, usually Utah cops just shoot you before they get cleared by the review board. One of Utah’s right-wing state senators (I know, redundant) just introduced a bill in the Utah lege to hide all records of police malfeasance from the public. That’s life Behind the Zion Curtain!

i’m glad i was not that kid, because with my temper i would have told that “dude” to go get fucked, cop or no.
