A suggestion:
Rather than telling people that they have to vote Democratic regardless of the circumstances, why not tell people to feel free to cast “symbolic” votes in “safe” states in November regardless of whether they are red or blue.
Since I live in Pennsylvania, which is a battleground state, I have to vote for whoever the Dem is. But I know I’d feel a lot better if I knew that Clinton supporters who have serious doubts about Obama were casting votes in non-battleground states. And I think that Obama supporters in battleground will feel the same way if Hillary is the nominee.
Again I request, for those of us who work or use computers where streams are blocked … could we have a one or two sentence description of the embedded object and its contents? I can’t see it.
thanks.

Well, Paul, since Washington State is sapphire blue
Demi, Kerry won WA by 7.19 points in 2004. And while one certainly hopes that WA is sapphire blue by November, you can’t assume at this point in the cycle that it won’t be close again.
WA 2004 was four years ago. Turnout was low, and the state Dem candidates were…uninspiring at best. By contrast, Republican turnout was amplified by the real belief that Dino Rossi could take the Governorship. He didn’t, in the end, and since then, the Washington Republican Party has imploded (and don’t just ask me, ask any of our WA residents), and may wind up losing its one promising moderate, our Secretary of State, if the Huckabee candidacy survives Texas next Tuesday.

I’ll see your Lightfoot, and raise you Makem and Clancy singing Stan Roger’s Mary Ellen Carter. (Sadly, there’s no video of Rogers singing this. His voice carried the chorus better.)
Anybody listening to NPR “Talk of the Nation”? They are looking at the differences between Obama and Clinton. Illuminating..

Paul,
There are no safe states.
Jon, if states like RI, NY, MA, and VT aren’t considered “safe” for Democrats by November (or ID, UT, MT, GA aren’t considered safe for the GOP by November) we are looking at a landslide for one party or another — in which case, every Obot who despises Hillary, and every Hillbot who despises Obama, can do whatever the hell they want, because it won’t make a difference in the winner in the electoral college.

you know, you really need to stop hanging out at taylormarsh. The sheer hatred that is reinforced over there is damanging for the optimism.

The chorus of this song has been a total earworm for me since it was released.
At least it’s a good song, though. So it could be worse.

Verily, that song is so lacking the requisite amount suck I must add it to Pandora. Tnx
