Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Dear Washington Post, you are the darkness now.

“What are Republicans afraid of?” Everything.

There is no right way to do the wrong thing.

Technically true, but collectively nonsense

Stop using mental illness to avoid talking about armed white supremacy.

The willow is too close to the house.

Republicans are radicals, not conservatives.

This really is a full service blog.

Damn right I heard that as a threat.

Republicans got rid of McCarthy. Democrats chose not to save him.

When you’re in more danger from the IDF than from Russian shelling, that’s really bad.

The current Supreme Court is a dangerous, rogue court.

You can’t attract Republican voters. You can only out organize them.

Oppose, oppose, oppose. do not congratulate. this is not business as usual.

Come on, media. you have one job. start doing it.

It’s a good piece. click on over. but then come back!!

Anne Laurie is a fucking hero in so many ways. ~ Betty Cracker

Fundamental belief of white supremacy: white people are presumed innocent, minorities are presumed guilty.

If you tweet it in all caps, that makes it true!

The real work of an opposition party is to hold the people in power accountable.

Beware of advice from anyone for whom Democrats are “they” and not “we.”

Randall “Duke” Cunningham was a war hero Navy fighter pilot. Barring any other qualification (like, say, being right about Iraq or the ability to tell Shia from Sunni) that makes him a foreign policy genius and a perfect candidate for president.

Too bad being in jail and having teh stupid Big Time precludes him from such an endeavor.

But seriously this guy was the role model for the grizzled tom skerrit instructor character from “Top Gun.” Too bad he joined the GOP. It looks like they were a REAL bad influence on the guy. And the rest is history. Sad History.

Well, he certainly appears to be far more qualified than Obama. However, there are similarities, I must admit. For example, Obama has been hanging out with some (e.g., Tony Rezko) of the same kinds of low-life that did in Cunningham.

Someone please tell me that there’s a picture of John McCain with Jeremiah Wright floating around out there, perhaps from the last couple of years when he was licking the evangelical’s boots.

Actually Duke should be king for that.

Dug, if Rezko is the worst thing that you can think of then Obama will sail. The best efforts of several newspapers have turned up exactly nothing worth reporting. Or maybe you mean to tar Obama by guilt through casual acquaintanceship, in which case, golly, nobody who sets foot in DC can ever be President. McCain and Jack Abramoff were swapping spit compared with Obama’s “links” to Rezko.

    On Rezko.

See if you are going to bring Rezko up in a blog you have type Rezko at least 7 times and include some ambiguous reference to corruption another 7 times.

Then you can start to make something of nothing. Otherwise you start to sound….. maybe shrill is the word I’m looking for.

Dug appears to have forgotten about Mr. Keating and all that.

Small potatoes compared to Rezko, no doubt.

As far as fighter pilots being great presidents… Well, we have such great examples of that.

Dug Jay needs his daily slap down. He thirsts for it. At least Gary Ruppert at Sadly No! provides unintentional comedy in spades, even the fake Gary trolls provide far more amusement.

Not to mention the Clinton oppo team, and they’re not half bad at what they do.

It’s funny how if you learn to fly a particular kind of airplane, you’re a fighter pilot. It’s like working out with a speed bag makes you a boxer, or spending time at the firing range makes you a sniper.

IIRC, George McGovern was a fighter pilot, during a real war, against genuine Bad Guys. (WWII, Nazis.) And McGovern managed to not get his plane shot out from under him, unlike a certain Republican presidential candidate who may actually manage to outdo George’s 49/1 record, the way things look right now.

Duke Cunningham was also extremely knowledgeable about working with crucial defense industries, another reason why CNN should recognize him as a well-known foreign policy expert and have him on a continuous feed from the prison cell to explain why Democrats are all traitorous surrender-crat naive hippie babies who will destroy the Urf.

McGovern piloted a B24 Liberator and won the Distinguished Flying Cross for saving his crew (and himself) by ditching on Mediterranean island..

But he was an effete librul nonetheless.

It’s not what you do that makes you a *real* man, it’s what you believe.

Excellent point. I will use that in my debates with neo-fascists. I wish one of these talking heads would say it on TV so we could see some heads explode!
