Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

These are not very smart people, and things got out of hand.

The truth is, these are not very bright guys, and things got out of hand.

I see no possible difficulties whatsoever with this fool-proof plan.

If you still can’t see these things even now, maybe politics isn’t your forte and you should stop writing about it.

All hail the time of the bunny!

You cannot love your country only when you win.

You come for women, you’re gonna get your ass kicked.

Tick tock motherfuckers!

The arc of the moral universe does not bend itself. it is up to us to bend it.

The cruelty is the point; the law be damned.

One of our two political parties is a cult whose leader admires Vladimir Putin.

They are not red states to be hated; they are voter suppression states to be fixed.

Marge, god is saying you’re stupid.

Dear Washington Post, you are the darkness now.

He really is that stupid.

When someone says they “love freedom”, rest assured they don’t mean yours.

Accused of treason; bitches about the ratings. I am in awe.

Also, are you sure you want people to rate your comments?

Republicans got rid of McCarthy. Democrats chose not to save him.

Giving up is unforgivable.

Impressively dumb. Congratulations.

Since we are repeating ourselves, let me just say fuck that.

Today’s gop: why go just far enough when too far is right there?

Let’s delete this post and never speak of this again.

Duke is already up 12-4, and getting all the calls (a few of which have been BS).

Not gonna be good.

*** Update ***

Wow. Didn’t see that coming at all. Duke goes down to the Eers by a score of 73-67.

No joke, its clearly come down from on high that the NCAA doesn’t want ratings darling Duke losing early.

Beyond that, the fact that WVU’s coach is noted douchebag and idiot Bob Huggins certainly won’t help matters.

And the fact that Duke plays in a harder league with more talented players and deeper competition clearly works against the Blue Devils. It’s bad for the Democrat party, so it must be bad for the ACC.

My dear wife works at CSU Fullerton, they finally made it back to to the tournament for the first time since 1978. Lost in the first round to Wisconsin.

    Go Big West.

    WVU = Big east
    Duke = ACC

    Big East > ACC

I’m a Bob Huggins fan, but if John Cole is down with WVU…I have to back Coach K.

The ACC is, shall we say, extremely top heavy. They’ve got UNC and… ? Well Miami is still alive. The ACC’s third tournament team, Clemson, got an early exit courtesy of the 8th Big East team, Villanova.

And Duke barely edged by 15 seed Belmont and is currently down six to another Big East team, 7th seeded West Virginia, now that WVU finally remembered how to hit a three.

A few years ago the ACC might have been toughest conference, but now? Pfft.

Jesus! Those refs suck! Who the fuck are those ASSHOLES? Heh. Huggins was born and raised here in New Mexico. Absolute and undeniable proof that WVU will win. (Unless they lose in the last 3:11, in which case Huggins was run out of New Mexico because he couldn’t coach Michael Jordan to throw the ball into the ocean.)

Duke can’t buy a shot even if they were bankrolled by the Fed.

15 missed threes in a row, Henderson bricks both free thows, good grief this is ugly.

O/T, but while we enjoy young men playing college basketball this is what other men and women are doing:

It came as four more US soldiers were killed in Iraq, bringing the death toll since the 2003 invasion close to 4,000.

Three soldiers died when a roadside bomb hit their vehicle near Baghdad on Saturday, the US military said.

Another US soldier died after a rocket or mortar attack on Friday, bringing estimated US fatalities to 3,996.

Of course just to cheers us up it also goes on:

US President George W Bush said the invasion had been “the right decision” and had made the world better.

I think I’ll go drink some to tequila.

Feh. Basketball. Minnesota plays Denver tonight for the WCHA title. The Gophers finished seventh in the league, but are on a roll. It’s also clear that they would finish no worse than fourth in any other conference, and third or better in most.

Yeah, Big East > ACC, at least right now (7 of 8 BE teams advancing through the first round versus 3 of 4 for the ACC, plus two BE victories in head-to-head matchups.)

And then the usual suspects will jeer, snark and disagree.

Soon after, Dug Jay will explain that one of the ref’s donated $50 to Bill Clinton’s 1996 reelction campaign, proving that a conspiracy exists.

Love to see West By God Virginia win. That’s about all those folks have to look forward to. Remember Pitsnogle ??

Now if somebody will beat NC it’ll be good weekend.

And Drake lost. The Valley is out of it. So sad.
