Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

“Perhaps I should have considered other options.” (head-desk)

The fight for our country is always worth it. ~Kamala Harris

Motto for the House: Flip 5 and lose none.

Republicans firmly believe having an abortion is a very personal, very private decision between a woman and J.D. Vance.

DeSantis transforming Florida into 1930s Germany with gators and theme parks.

Their boy Ron is an empty plastic cup that will never know pudding.

A fool as well as an oath-breaker.

Let there be snark.

“They all knew.”

“Alexa, change the president.”

Too often we confuse noise with substance. too often we confuse setbacks with defeat.

Consistently wrong since 2002

The party of Reagan has become the party of Putin.

Incompetence, fear, or corruption? why not all three?

Innocent people do not delay justice.

Is it irresponsible to speculate? It is irresponsible not to.

Republicans do not trust women.

I might just take the rest of the day off and do even more nothing than usual.

They are not red states to be hated; they are voter suppression states to be fixed.

On a more serious note–do you think we’ll see disbarment of people like Yoo and Hayden? Prosecutions for abuse of power for people like Karl Rove?

And, if not, if we will not go after people like these when we can clearly see their crimes, who WILL we go after, and when???

Just wanted to throw this out there- I am currently in an AB with a tauren shaman named Algore and a human warlock named annecoulter.

I shouldn’t, but here’s another link to Taylor Marsh to get you to pull your hair out, John. It features a video of her being interviewed by Joe Scarborough. They can’t seem to figure out why a conservative like him is being so polite all of a sudden (and in the video they are being incredibly nice to her). They figure deep down he’s a conservative but fair, who respects her for her strength. The possibility a long Democratic primary benefits Republicans doesn’t cross their minds (weren’t right wingers being nice to Obama when all this started?).

I see Josh Marshall is really trying to hammer on this 100-years-in-Iraq thing that McCane said. Not sure why; the media is so in the tank for McCane that there’s no way they’d even report it.

    I found this amusing.

HARRISBURG, Pa. – Gov. Ed Rendell recently received his first call from a political pollster despite nearly a lifetime in politics.

The caller from the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute wanted Rendell’s opinions on the Democratic presidential race between Sens. Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York and Barack Obama of Illinois in the April 22 Pennsylvania primary.

    and

“When they asked if Ed Rendell’s endorsement had any impact, I said, ‘absolutely,'” Rendell told The Patriot-News newspaper in Harrisburg.

The pollster, who reached Rendell at his Philadelphia home during the weekend, also asked whether Sen. Bob Casey’s endorsement of Obama made Rendell more or less likely to vote for him.

“I said ‘no difference,'” said Rendell, who defeated Casey for the gubernatorial nomination in 2002.

I can’t believe Hillary would stoop so low as to try and stuff the Quinnipiac poll.

    They should be ashamed.

The Colbert Report is having a charity drive for Pennsylvania causes and you can donate “in the name of” either HRC or Obama.

as of tonight’s show, HRC’s donations total $20K.

    Obama’s total $117K.

Yeah, John Brown’s Marsh bio has slowly but surely started to circulate. It was a joy to come home today and read her flame out on her blog. It’s great to see Marsh, who’s been seething about what she claims is Obama’s over-inflated resume, to finally have someone shine a light on hers. And having him call her on her hypocrisy when it comes to her earlier run in with Schlussel is just icing on the cake.

That makes a lot of sense. I sure hadn’t heard of her before this year. Suddenly she shows up, and she’s a big time over the top supporter of hillary.

    Why?

To draw hits on her website. To make a name for herself, to catapult that into the Ann Coulter of the left.

This is how most of the pundits operate. Ed Schulz? He’s got a radio show now. Did you know he used to be a right-wing radio show host back some 5-10 years ago? It didn’t work for him, the field is too crowded. So he turned to the left.

It’s all just a big charade.

And yes, John Cole obviously does it too. But John Cole is dreamy!

Thanks for the links about Taylor Marsh. I have wondered where she came from, and now I know. Nowhere. She hitched her ass to Hillary for the popularity boost, IMO, and little else. Maybe she likes Hillary because she can appreciate a person who takes nothing and tries to make something out of it. Even if Hillary loses, Taylor wins. She has her audience, and if she hangs around to harp on Obama (after the primary), you can bet the rabid Clintonistas will be there.

Like Hillary, she knows her target audience…lol

OMFG this is hilarious. The cartoons he used to replace the pictures of Pat Benetar’s love child have resulted in a coffee/monitor incident.

It appears she was threatening him with the possibility of being sued for copyright infringement by the photography company that took the pictures that appear on her website.

She throws in some garbage about him “plumbing” her resume at the beginning in what looks like a really lame attempt to connect resume inspection with a highly hypothetical third party lawsuit for copyright infringement.

Seriously, those pics are dreadful. Are we sure she isn’t trying to be some sort of left-wing version of Stephen Colbert?

OMG. I’ve been reading Taylor Marsh for the last few years. I *really* have enjoyed her writing. She’s always been out front about what she thinks, she writes well, she’s smart and engaging, and she pays attention to details.

I can’t bear to read her site these days, and can’t wait until the primaries are over. I don’t think she’s was being opportunistic regarding Hillary Clinton — I think she’s Clinton’s natural constituency (older, smart woman who remembers the 1960s and 1970s when smart women had no opportunities) and identifies with her. I’m appalled by the venom that she and the commenters (even moreso) have for Obama.

I agree she’s unreadable these days, and her comment section has become a self-referential farce. But if you go back six months to a year, and read some of her posts, you’ll enjoy them. I’m sorry this is the first people are really seeing of her, because she’s leaving a very bad first impression on people.

And to be clear, I think she *is* taking the opportunities that are being handed her. TV shows are happy to have someone come on and tear apart Obama and praise Hillary, for their own reasons; she’s taking advantage of the opening and doing some self-promotion. And I don’t really care about the “resume padding” as it’s par for the course in today’s media — I’ve enjoyed her for what she was writing on a given day, as I would any blogger.

So, no, I think TM is saying what she’s saying because she really believes it, and she’s always been pretty feisty about what she believes. I think she’s dead wrong, not to support her candidate but to project all the evils of the world on the guy who’s standing in the way of her candidate. But while I am avoiding her blog today, I hope to return to reading her in a few months….

i just find it ironic that a hillbot is pissed that someone points out that said hillbot has seriously padded the shit out of her resume.

it’s doubly ironic that said hillbot accuses obama of padding his resume.
