Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

The next time the wall street journal editorial board speaks the truth will be the first.

Wake up. Grow up. Get in the fight.

Accountability, motherfuckers.

There is no compromise when it comes to body autonomy. You either have it or you do not.

The rest of the comments were smacking Boebert like she was a piñata.

In after Baud. Damn.

“When somebody takes the time to draw up a playbook, they’re gonna use it.”

Cancel the cowardly Times and Post and set up an equivalent monthly donation to ProPublica.

The truth is, these are not very bright guys, and things got out of hand.

Every decision we make has lots of baggage with it, known or unknown.

Republicans don’t lie to be believed, they lie to be repeated.

Seems like a complicated subject, have you tried yelling at it?

When I was faster i was always behind.

Baby steps, because the Republican Party is full of angry babies.

Consistently wrong since 2002

Pessimism assures that nothing of any importance will change.

Everybody saw this coming.

People are complicated. Love is not.

Russian mouthpiece, go fuck yourself.

Republicans choose power over democracy, every day.

An almost top 10,000 blog!

Marge, god is saying you’re stupid.

Relentless negativity is not a sign that you are more realistic.

In my day, never was longer.

Back in the day, Goofy, Micky or Minnie blotter or purple microdot was the good stuff. This clip would have been fun to watch then, but then so would the AfterDark screen savers…lol! The home PC age and acid just didn’t sync up at the same time in history.

This is pretty inventive art, and I bet it took a lot of time to set up. Nice catch!

May I be the first to say HOLY LIVING SHIT THAT’S INCREDIBLE.

This is why education and leisure time are good for society; they make it possible for people to create art like that.

    Terry Gilliam comes to mind.
Seems I see his influence in many current themes.

For those who may have not seen this Daily Show clip, enjoy. Had me shooting milk through my nose. Maybe John can enlighten us on the venerable tradition of the West Virginia douche-off.;)

Nice tributes to Q*bert, Shel Silverstein and (possibly) James Thurber.

I wonder how long that took. Weeks? Months? YEARS?

Unless, like, the whole thing was done on like, a computer and, like, just made to look real.

    Whoa.

Want a bad trip? I like this one. For my money, the “best” part starts a little under a minute in…

Somebody sure had a lot of time on their hands. Oh my, Orange Microdot, Purple Haze, Mr Natural and assorted others…

    Not to mention Orange Barrel.

    I forgot about that ‘flavor’… ;)

Windowpane was one of my favorites. You could drop a corner in your eye, it was that clean. Acid was like mushrooms for me, more like speed with a dose of nitrous. I never hallucinated from it, and I ate a lot of it. You would think of goofy things, like stepping off a curb and thinking ‘wow, my foot has to go a long way to hit the ground’, or running though a store and think of standing still while the food in the aisle rushed past you, but no ‘colors’, distortions or doing things that your don’t remeber the next day. Sometimes the perma-grin would leave your face muscles hurting the next day, but it was always worth it.

Never had a bad trip, but I learned long ago that acid should not be taken by those who do not have a good sense of humor. Dark personalities seem to get a bad trip more often than not. But if you like to laugh your ass off at anything, then acid was the ride to take.

Ah, the good old daze… :D
