Ted Kennedy rushed to the hospital with stroke-like symptoms.
Hope it turns out to be nothing, but after spending 2 hours in the emergency room at Cape Cod before being airlifted to Mass. General, it doesn’t seem likely.
Ted
I had to google that to see where it came from. Sometimes it’s weird being part of Gen X, but at the very tail end of it.
John Cole
You never saw Carter Country?
“Handle it, Roy, handle it.”
w vincentz
Best wishes for a full recovery for Senator Ted Kennedy.
John Cole
Who will be the first Hillary supporter to say some variation of:
“Even though Kennedy let me down endorsing Obama, I wish him a speedy recovery.”
My money is on Jeralyn.
Ted
No. I was being birthed during the second season, and I don’t recall any reruns of it.
John Cole
It was a pretty awful show.
Ted
Should anyone even bother checking for the “we wish him the worst” sentiments from right-wingers?

What’s next? Quotes from the San Pedro Beach Bums?
Ted
The first sitcom I have any memory of is One Day At a Time.
Mary
Talk Left is reporting and the comments are respectful. Jeralyn has popped to dissuade any potential shit-stirring in the thread.
Libby Spencer
That would be the smart money bet. I’ll take the under with Taylor just to be contrarian.
Rick Taylor
There’s a recording of a phone call of Hillary Clinton with sympathetic bloggers. Nothing new; she states as a matter of fact she’s winning in the popular vote, and calls for Michigan and Florida to be counted, and warns of the legitimacy of nominee being undermined.
Ted
The hostage metaphor is still very apt; change the rules, or I blow it up.
Bot LaBeer
Foootball. You bet.
John Cole
Be careful, Ted.
Hillary supporters are scared of metaphors.

Al Giordano, at The Field has a great post about helping recovering Clinton supporters back into the party. Worth a read.
guyermo
Boston Globe is reporting that Senator Kennedy has indeed suffered a stroke and that family members are being summoned to Boston
guyermo
never mind the stroke confirmation. I read it too hastily.

Man, I can’t keep up with the changing terminology for black people.

Jeralyn on Ted Kennedy:
One of her commenters shows class:
Cain
From the KOS:
Update IV: Some encouraging news: On CNN, Ed Henry is reporting that a Kennedy source says that the Senator himself at about 10:30 a.m. called someone to say he couldn’t host a luncheon. That would have been more than two hours after the originial 911 call.
Ted
Huh. So some Hillary supporters still know where to get quality Cid. Can they share this information with me?
cleek
nothing at RedState so far, LGF is working hard to keep the comments free of that kind of stuff.
BigPink’s comments are full of that right now
Bot LaBeer
Teh stoopid at Big Pink

Because “Karma” favors Hillary in this primary. Do these people realize how much like Pat Robertson they sound with crap like that?
Bot LaBeer
Now it seems the general consensus among the more unhinged at Big Pink is that Senator Kennedy is faking it and that Senator Obama will have to rush to his side, leaving the campaign trail and have a built-in excuse as to why he lost to Hillary in Oregon.
Yeah, it’s all a big conspiracy. You’re onto us.
Sick fucks.
Dreggas
I see Wonkette’s “Big Pink” nickname has spread LOL

I noticed something else on that site, an ad for a book about Obama by a LaRouchie! Hilarious.

OK, Get Carter remake is a bitch to anyone who lives in the NW. Like pulling a left on 4th street and vine and suddenly winding up on davie street in Vancouver. The golf course was filmed in Furry Creek, on the way to Whistler.
dj spellchecka
a little good news for you inside the beltway types:
“Hans von Spakovsky — President Bush’s nominee to the FEC and a lighting rod for criticism over his history of voter suppression at the Justice Department — withdrew his nomination. The Senate had blocked Spakovsky over concern about his tenure at the DOJ, where he unilaterally approved stringent voter ID laws and blocked investigations into voter discrimination.”
Bush wouldn’t get rid of this guy even though there was no chance the senate would approve him with the result being that there weren’t enough warm bodies at the federal election commission to actually do anything. hopefully this will get cleared up fairly quickly. there’s some big decisions about mccains campaign financing that need to be addressed.
Ted
Not really. They gave us “Virtual date rape” just a couple of days ago.
Ted
Sorry, I even remembered it wrong. It was “Virtual gang rape”! Even better.
Medicine Man
Yeah, I kinda knew something was going to give with Death and Taxes on Korgath. They still hadn’t dropped the Eredar Twins and just last week I saw their old Main Tank in a M’uru kill video by Premonition. Like Xi says in his emo-farewell, they’ve been unraveling for awhile. Looks like the Romans were correct – all glory is fleeting.
Medicine Man
Do you play on Korgath, John?

The folks over at Taylor Marsh’s blog are just having so much fun. Some of them have tried to be civil, but they are a minority, alas.

MANY WHELPS! NOW, HANDLE IT!

Sad to see D&T go.

Nah, Horde side on Mug’thol.

Yes, because the liberals have been sooooo respectful of right-wingers under similar conditions in the past…
Cain
I just came back from canvassing… first time. It was pretty decent. Most people here when I talked to them were all Obama fans. There was some hillary fans here and there.
I’m probably going to help out with the Portland rally. I boldy refer to Obama as the MUP at the head quarters. haha
cain
Ted
Well, you can nutpick from blog comments if you want, and so can I. For example, LGF:
Or, you can link to an actual well-known liberal blogger expressing any animosity at the ill-health of conservative politicians, and not a commenter. Got any links?
Then shut up.
ImJohnGalt
Er…why the hypothetical? *IS* that what she’s doing?
Or is the commenter only suggesting the Hillary would care about Kennedy if he endorsed her? And *that’s* not crass?
Seriously, WTF?

Guilds come, guilds go. It seems like notoriety just accelarates the process.
