Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

The lights are all blinking red.

“Until such time as the world ends, we will act as though it intends to spin on.”

Republicans are radicals, not conservatives.

Following reporting rules is only for the little people, apparently.

There are consequences to being an arrogant, sullen prick.

We still have time to mess this up!

People identifying as christian while ignoring christ and his teachings is a strange thing indeed.

Republicans do not trust women.

Republicans want to make it harder to vote and easier for them to cheat.

They were going to turn on one another at some point. It was inevitable.

No one could have predicted…

Hell hath no fury like a farmer bankrupted.

Not loving this new fraud based economy.

“What are Republicans afraid of?” Everything.

“But what about the lurkers?”

“Perhaps I should have considered other options.” (head-desk)

They want us to be overwhelmed and exhausted. Focus. Resist. Oppose.

My right to basic bodily autonomy is not on the table. that’s the new deal.

“A king is only a king if we bow down.” – Rev. William Barber

Of course you can have champagne before noon. That’s why orange juice was invented.

Democracy is not a spectator sport.

Giving in to doom is how authoritarians win.

Is trump is trying to break black America over his knee? signs point to ‘yes’.

Speaking of republicans, is there a way for a political party to declare intellectual bankruptcy?

Just Like the Michigan and Florida Primaries

This:

The men who pulled up in three white pickup trucks were looking for Patson Chipiro, head of the Zimbabwean opposition party in Mhondoro district. His wife, Dadirai, told them he was in Harare but would be back later in the day, and the men departed.

An hour later they were back. They grabbed Mrs Chipiro and chopped off one of her hands and both her feet. Then they threw her into her hut, locked the door and threw a petrol bomb through the window.

The killing last Friday – one of the most grotesque atrocities committed by Robert Mugabe’s regime since independence in 1980 – was carried out on a wave of worsening brutality before the run-off presidential elections in just over two weeks. It echoed the activities of Foday Sankoh, the rebel leader in the Sierra Leone civil war that ended in 2002, whose trade-mark was to chop off hands and feet.

Hillary was right. This is just like the DNC punishing a state for breaking party rules and holding their primary early.

Hey, make up your mind. Either set up a donation box to pay off her campaign debts, or savagely snark on things she said in the previous phase, but not both ‘k?

Yeah, I’m with Chris on this. I mean, P. Luk is still bleating about how the R&B Committee was out to get Clinton from before the primaries even started, but he’s nuts–we know he’s not going to let it go. Don’t be that guy.

A little grotesque and petty this early in the morning.

Let it go, John. We won. No need to keep rubbing the Clinton supporters’ faces in it.

    My bad.

I guess the moment is passed, and we all need to be nice; but this comparison I thought was one of the most raw, disgusting, egomaniacal efforts out of the Hillary campaign. Thousands forced from their homes (’cause they can only vote where they live), hundreds killed and beaten and terrorized–and a procedural ruling that she doesn’t like is just as bad. No one who thinks this way has a place in government.

Here’s one vote for doing neither. Obama is the nominee. I think we can take a break from talking about Clinton for a few months.

Let’s change the subject. Obama apparently does not have the support of the Libyan superdelegate.

The Powers the Be made all of Obama’s voters disappeared in Michigan. That’s ethnic cleansing par excellence!

Agreed. She lost, it’s over. Unless she does anything new to screw him in the general, let it go.

There was another incident in Zimbabwe where a man who simply invited neighbors over to listen to the election results was hauled off to a reeducation camp, where barbed wire was tied to his penis and to some heavy logs, which he had to pull. He died.

I thought Mugabe was standing down, but I guess a murderous dictator’s work is never done, until someone manages to successfully smuggle a blasting cap into his personal limousine, or gets a lucky shot off.

Or the international community finally does somethinga bout him and just drags him off to the Hague. But having that scrummy piece of shit die of natural causes in office after this kind of crap is just karmically wrong.

I’d be all for South Africa playing Vietnam to Mugabe’s Pol Pot. Somebody needs to throw that bastard into a spider hole, stat!

Too bad Zimbabwe doesn’t have major oil reserves, somebody would have done this eons ago.

Don’t they have any oil for the US gov’t to go take over? Why don’t American gov’ts show that much interest in invading countries like this one?
