Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Live so that if you miss a day of work people aren’t hoping you’re dead.

Only Democrats have agency, apparently.

“Can i answer the question? No you can not!”

You are either for trump or for democracy. Pick one.

If rights aren’t universal, they are privilege, not rights.

The republican caucus is covering themselves with something, and it is not glory.

The press swings at every pitch, we don’t have to.

He seems like a smart guy, but JFC, what a dick!

Pessimism assures that nothing of any importance will change.

Is it negotiation when the other party actually wants to shoot the hostage?

Republicans choose power over democracy, every day.

If senate republicans had any shame, they’d die of it.

Hey hey, RFK, how many kids did you kill today?

There are consequences to being an arrogant, sullen prick.

These days, even the boring Republicans are nuts.

We are aware of all internet traditions.

With all due respect and assumptions of good faith, please fuck off into the sun.

The republican speaker is a slippery little devil.

… pundit janitors mopping up after the gop

This blog will pay for itself.

This chaos was totally avoidable.

Prediction: the gop will rethink its strategy of boycotting future committees.

There is no compromise when it comes to body autonomy. You either have it or you do not.

Good news For Gaming Dorks

Diablo III announced:

Two decades have passed since the demonic denizens, Diablo, Mephisto, and Baal, wandered the world of Sanctuary in a vicious rampage to shackle humanity into unholy slavery. Yet for those who battled the Prime Evils directly, the memory fades slowly and the wounds of the soul still burn.

When Deckard Cain returns to the ruins of Tristram’s Cathedral seeking clues to new stirrings of evil, a comet from the heavens strikes the very ground where Diablo once entered the world. The comet carries a dark omen in its fiery being and it calls the heroes of Sanctuary to defend the mortal world against the rising powers of the Burning Hells – and even the failing luminaries of the High Heavens itself.

I was never a fan of Diablo or Diablo II, but my brother sure was. I am sure he will be excited.

I’m excited as hell — except for the part about how my poor laptop probably won’t run it.

I was really looking forward to Starcraft: Ghost, but it died. Still, SC2, so I can’t complain.

I do wonder, though, if in the distant future people from Korea will look back on Starcraft like the 1800 Europeans look at Chess.

Diablo 2 (Including the LOD expansion pack) and Civ III are about the only games I still play – although I came across my copy of Arcanum and sported around with it for a while. D2 is still fun to fire up for a quick few minutes of monster bashing. Don’t know about the new one; seems as though the sysreqs are in supercomputer territory while the gameplay hasn’t improved that much since the Nineties.

Thanks a fuckin’ lot, Blizzard! Why must your games be so damn awesome? When Diablo II came out, I had to use a crowbar just to pry my little brother’s fingers from the keyboard and mouse to stop playing it!

It took until recently for a patch to be released so Diablo II/LOD could be played on an Intel Mac. Love me some Starcraft, too. Never played either online. Worth it?

I’m currently miffed at City of Heroes. I’m actually getting tired of gaming. I blame Bush.

I simply must stop everything and play this game for weeks the day it is released. Diablo is the best dungeon crawler game ever. Diablo 3 will be phenomenal.

What a coincidence- two weeks ago I loaded Diablo I onto one of my older computers just to play it again. It’s still a pretty cool game. I never did play Diablo II.

Read some of the background info at the D3 site. They’ve got some buried humor like with the “no one ever listens” bit. The part with the skeletons in the barrels is a hoot.
