So, the typo is that they used “Democratic” instead of “Democrat”, right?

What’s an abortion rights supporter? Do they support the right to have abortions or something?

His top contenders are said to include Minnesota bridge-wrecker Tim Pawlenty and former Massachusetts douchebag Mitt Romney. Less traditional choices mentioned include former Pennsylvania fear-monger Tom Ridge, an abortion-rights supporter, and Connecticut Sen. Joe Lieberman, the Democratic vice presidential prick in 2000 who now is an independent.
Typos fixed.

Finally, AP gets one right. I am sure Nedra Prickler will get McBush some more Donuts with extra sprinkles on it to make up for it.

Y’know, learning that Lieberman is the prick of Vice President Cheney explains a lot about the last eight years…

You know, the “r” key is nowhere near either the “i” key or the “p” key. I wonder how this “typo” happened? This strikes me more as someone being funny and forgetting to correct their text before publishing. How it got past the editor, however, is another question. Typically, they’re supposed to do more than run a spellcheck against the text.
Stop! You’re killing me here. I had to close my office door after I fell out of my chair laughing.

THE (OR AT LEAST ONE) TYPO IS [pay attention to the comma after Ridge]:
choices mentioned include former Pennsylvania Governor Tom Ridge, an abortion rights supporter, and Connecticutt Sen. Joe Lieberman…
In other words, syntactically it reads as if it says the alternative choices include:
1) Tom Ridge
2) an unnamed abortion rights supporter
3) Joe Lieberman
…I wonder who that other so-far anonymous Republican abortion-rights supporter is whom McCain is considering?

No, the right word is “when the hell will the Dems cut that monstrous fool out of their coalition and leave him in the wilderness to die?”
Second: the answer to your question is the moment that they don’t need that monstrous tool to maintain a majority so they run committee chairs, etc.
But first: No, the correct word is actually “putz.” Both “putz” and “Schmuck” are Yiddish words for “prick” (very appropriate given the thread), but schmuck can be properly used to talk about a guy in a non-negative manner. You can be a poor schmuck stuck standing in the rain without an umbrella, but a putz is always a f***ing putz.

That can’t be because a putz is… unable to rise to the occasion.

Thanx, rachel. I knew that both of those words literally meant a male member and something about their common usage in referring to people, but I wasn’t aware of…that technical distinction. I’ll admit that I was at something of a loss for words for giving a good example of a putz (as a character reference) without referring to bodyparts or precesses: asshole, jerk, shithead, etc.

Actually, the R key *is* right next to the L key if you’re using a Dvorak keyboard like I am. Google it to see.
Still funny anyway.

The AP has editors? I thought they just used a program to make sure there wasn’t too much substance to each story.
