I just assumed that the media knew all along that this story was a steaming pile of bullshit, but they thought we’d be fooled long enough to stay tuned through a few news cycles. Are you telling me THEY were fooled?
I thought the media was just evil, not stupid.
I may have to rethink my position.

Darn! I thought it was going to be another dead preacher in two wetsuits with a dildo stuffed up his ass. But this time the guy ‘wakes up’ and yells ‘SURPRISE!’.
Oh well, one can wish.
I live in the northwest, and Bigfoot is a tourist attraction for some small towns. Nothing more than that, and the wishful thinking of fools.
Still I had to laugh that the media was lapping this up like cats with cream. I knew it was BS from square one. In Georgia?! Gimme a break!

They weren’t fooled. Several articles the day before the freezer was displayed (e.g. when the exhibitors sent out a press release that they would be showing Bigfoot on Friday) mentioned how these people had been responsible for hoaxes in the past.
If only they would exhibit such journalism when it comes to everything else.

They’ve been getting fooled by empty suits for years.
With the discovery of the bones of those little folk on Flores Island the possibility of odd pockets of cousins of humanity probably shouldn’t be dismissed outright. The way humans have disbursed themselves over the globe, spreading out in waves from Africa, pushing the last wave out of the way, suggests that at some point earlier versions of humans and later versions coexisted, and there is at least a small possibility that in the remotest corners of the world might survive. Or maybe the idea of “little people” and “giants” is a cultural memory of some sort.
Having said that, the hoaxsters are a common variant of the modern humans who use deception to defraud others. If they weren’t trumping a rubber bigfoot but a Russian bear then they’d be writing op-eds in WaPo.
Go Niners!

If they weren’t fooled, then they’re part of the hoax and should be deeply ashamed of themselves. Once again unreconstructed nonsense was spewed into the atmosphere of our discourse and allowed to spread its stupid all over the countryside. Well over half the people who read about the Bigfoot in the freezer will never see the corrections that a red-faced, ass-covering media will quietly print on the bottom of page 14, section C, or broadcast at 1:35 a.m., and think for the next 20 years that it was REAL, REAL, REAL, REAL!!!!!
The media SUCKS. They should all be fired and forced to shovel shit for the rest of their lives.

I don’t get it. Defraud people of money? How much could they make with such an obvious fake? They would be exposed the first time someone was in the same room with the ‘cadaver’. If they were just looking for attention, this sure as hell is better than squeezing off some rounds in a WalMart, but, sheesh…

This thing screamed hoax to me even before I read up on Biscardi. Multiple pictures of the trackers posing with a freezer full of ice, vs. one crappy picture of a costume stuffed in a cooler with fresh pig entrails to lend it authenticity? Yeah, right.
Then there’s links to “Shopping for Bigfoot” all over the place.
Is it possible that there’s some long-lost Australopithecine stomping around North American forests? Maybe, but I strongly doubt it.

It being Georgia, we’re probably lucky that the thing displayed in the freezer wasn’t the corpse of a tall black man.

This is GREAT NEWS for McCain!
It’s doubtful Obama can come back from this. Sad. So sad.

I had to laugh, because one of the headlines I saw was BIGFOOT FAILS TO PASS DNA TEST and immediately thought of a newspaper splashed with BIGFOOT FAILS TO PASS NOT BEING A RUBBER GORILLA SUIT TEST.

I was at work, at my restaurant in Atlanta, and several people actually believed this stupid ass story. Why?
“They say they have DNA evidence!”
Can anyone spot the logical fallacy?
