Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

It’s the corruption, stupid.

If a good thing happens for a bad reason, it’s still a good thing.

Republicans firmly believe having an abortion is a very personal, very private decision between a woman and J.D. Vance.

🎶 Those boots were made for mockin’ 🎵

The real work of an opposition party is to hold the people in power accountable.

Not rolling over. fuck you, make me.

I would gladly pay you tuesday for a hamburger today.

American history and black history cannot be separated.

So fucking stupid, and still doing a tremendous amount of damage.

I don’t recall signing up for living in a dystopian sci-fi novel.

rich, arrogant assholes who equate luck with genius

75% of people clapping liked the show!

We cannot abandon the truth and remain a free nation.

Why is it so hard for them to condemn hate?

“But what about the lurkers?”

… pundit janitors mopping up after the gop

If rights aren’t universal, they are privilege, not rights.

Hey hey, RFK, how many kids did you kill today?

Fight for a just cause, love your fellow man, live a good life.

There is no compromise when it comes to body autonomy. You either have it or you do not.

“In this country American means white. everybody else has to hyphenate.”

Seems like a complicated subject, have you tried yelling at it?

Relentless negativity is not a sign that you are more realistic.

Many life forms that would benefit from greater intelligence, sadly, do not have it.

Leonard Pitts took conservatives to the woodshed today. And it was fun to read.

Except that she could see Iraq from where she was in Kuwait, so really, she knows Iraq every bit as well as Maliki does.

Mudflats reports that Alaska held their biggest political rally on the front lawn of the Anchorage library.
    The photos are great.
If Sarah can’t sell herself to the grassroots folks in her home state, it doesn’t seem likely that the lower 48 will be buying either.

Just heard on a show on the Food Network called Food Detectives that eating poppy seeds can cause a failed drug test … but you have to eat 5 or more poppy seed bagels. They did a scientific test and everything.

Also, more to the point, Michelle Obama is going to be on Paula Deen’s show next Saturday at 7:00 PM EDT. Will Cindy McCain or Sarah Palin get similar invitations?

I wish they’d send Michelle out more. It might defuse some of the “I like Sarah Palin because it would be cool to have a hockey mom in the White House!”

    Michael,

She also looked through the window while the plane was in there air. Did you add all those countries as well?

More importantly, she hasn’t been to Germany. Maybe the McCain/Palin ticket has written off Germany, kinda like Obama/Biden appears to have written off Georgia.

Don’t forget Poland. She hasn’t been there either.

Can a republican ticket win the election while ignoring Poland? I don’t think so.
