The site is running like Jonah Goldberg in a 10k turkey trot and yet you guys rack up 400 comments in two posts. Try not to fill this one so fast.

10:50 pm (Tim) – I’ve ragged on Goldberg a few times lately, so I owe it to him to point out that this is a classy concession speech, notwithstanding the financial incentive that the author of Liberal Fascism!!1one1eleven! has to paint every Democratic move as proof of America-hating totalitarian evil.

10:48 pm- BTW- I just finished another beer, and wanted to throw this out there- Larry Johnson and the PUMA’s can go die in a fire.

10:42 pm (Tim) – FOX predicts that Obama walks away with Virginia. Will McCain even deliver a concession speech, or will he just go to bed?

Also, in case I gloat too much, my mother reminded me I once thought Ryan Leaf was a franchise pick. Hell, I voted twice for Bush. That beats the Leaf bust hands down. John +9 or something. I see Parliament of Funk and a cigar in the short-term future.

    I hate to sound greedy, but I still want Indiana, North Carolina, Virginia, Missouri and one other red state besides the one out west. (Arizona, South Dakota, perhaps?) We’re definitely going to win, but I want a big, fat obvious declaration that the Dean Fifty State Strategy is working.

    I grew up in Indiana, so I really really want to see some records broken when it comes to that state.

    McCain leads by 12 or 13 pts in AZ right now with only 3 counties reporting but one of those is Maricopa county, which has about half the state’s population in it.

    A lot hinges on the turnout in Pima County (Tucson), if Obama can make up a lot of the difference there. He will undoubtedly make up some of the difference but it would have to be a very large turnout combined with a very lopsided Obama margin to put him within striking distance.

    MSNBC just called 4 of 5 NE votes for McCain. I so love my town and district right now, Nebraska’s 2nd District, The Fightin’ Second! Obama carries a slight lead.

    It’d be the first Nebraska electoral vote given to a Dem since ’67.

    I keep updating the SOS site, but it keeps increasing for McCain. I have no idea if this means anything, because I know nothing about the state. But I really, really want this one, so when fivethirtyeight.com sounds reasonably positive, I’m confident but very, very cautious.

    Indiana
    Colorado
    California
    Oregon
    Washington
    Hawaii

    McCain takes the rest. That gives him 344 to McCain’s 194.

    Hey, he was a very talented player. It was his intangibles that were the problem, something you would have a hard time knowing unless you went to school with him… which I did.

    He was a total douchebag, but a talented douchebag nonetheless.

    Without Mike Price there to change his diapers, he totally fell apart. As a student, he was blackballed from half the bars and Greek houses (including mine) on campus, and was routinely booed by the students despite taking the team to its first Rose Bowl in longer than I like to admit. He was an awful, awful person, but a really good player.

    Also, back on topic- MSNBC just called the whole enchilada for Obama.

    Christ Matthews just said that this election will make people around the world think, "How does America do it?" As he pointed out, no other western country has done what are about to do: elect someone from a different race, someone who isn’t white. He also said that this shatters the sort of world that people his age grew up in as far as race goes. It completely changes the game for everyone who is now going to grow up in America. As he is saying this, people like Rachel are looking at him in awe. It’s just special.

    And as I typing this, MSNBC projects him to be the winner. Isn’t that something?

    I’ve been avoiding watching TV coverage all night but I just watched about two minutes of Tweety going off about how the world can look at us and say how amazing we are for electing a minority president, because, you know, no other country but the great US of A could possibly make such a sweeping gesture of diversity. Coupe of stoners passengers asked if we should go.
