Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Never entrust democracy to any process that requires republicans to act in good faith.

Tick tock motherfuckers!

You don’t get to peddle hatred on saturday and offer condolences on sunday.

Following reporting rules is only for the little people, apparently.

The GOP couldn’t organize an orgy in a whorehouse with a fist full of 50s.

The truth is, these are not very bright guys, and things got out of hand.

It’s time for the GOP to dust off that post-2012 autopsy, completely ignore it, and light the party on fire again.

Republicans can’t even be trusted with their own money.

You cannot shame the shameless.

Let’s finish the job.

I wonder if trump will be tried as an adult.

They are lying in pursuit of an agenda.

Republicans don’t want a speaker to lead them; they want a hostage.

Teach a man to fish, and he’ll sit in a boat all day drinking beer.

Too often we confuse noise with substance. too often we confuse setbacks with defeat.

Come on, media. you have one job. start doing it.

Red lights blinking on democracy’s dashboard

The next time the wall street journal editorial board speaks the truth will be the first.

But frankly mr. cole, I’ll be happier when you get back to telling us to go fuck ourselves.

“I never thought they’d lock HIM up,” sobbed a distraught member of the Lock Her Up Party.

I know this must be bad for Joe Biden, I just don’t know how.

If you’re pissed about Biden’s speech, he was talking about you.

… riddled with inexplicable and elementary errors of law and fact

Republicans are the party of chaos and catastrophe.

Talk about OBSCURE REFERENCES. Jeez, John. Hey, if you are planning on moving to San Diego, better start rooting for the Toreros and/or the Aztecs.

In the meantime, gooooo Jets and Giants! (Don’t have a college team since we moved from Evanston and stopped rooting for the Northwestern Wildcats.)

Is John secretly japanese and havine trouble with his l’s? Yeah, I know an apostrophe for a plural is wrong, but otherwise it looks like ls, which is a distinct and common command in many shells, and just looked wrong.

Well it’s better than football that runs until 1 o’clock in the fucking morning.

And rooting for the Aztecs gives new meaning to the term "an exercise in futility."

Even better, John, you’ll have to root for the Chargers. I shudder to think…

one of the nice things about going to a school where the football team sucked (at least while i was there) is that you can adopt a team or osmose one by marriage.
so, on behalf of all the michigan fans on my wife’s side of the family, you can have rich rodriguez back any time. (i think my brother-in-law would buy the ticket!).

    @mellowjohn:

I’m a Torero alum who adopted Michigan (my fiance’s alma mater). I agree with your sentiment.

    OT: Yes please!

Sarah Palin is juggling offers to write books, appear in films and sit on dozens of interview couches at a rate astonishing for most Hollywood stars, let alone a first-term governor.

She’s the gift that keeps on giving.

Just this past week, shortly after conducting a string of national TV interviews and skipping a state education conference, she was scolded by the Anchorage Daily News.

    And giving…

Football here (Hawai’i) starts at 0600 on Saturday mornings, and at 0800 on Sundays. In practice, what the Sunday schedule used to mean (before Sunday Night Football) was that you could watch two games and be done by 1300, in time to spend the afternoon at the beach.

    Not such a hardship.

I’m really, really going to miss Pat.

Hoping to make it to Morgantown for the White Out in his honor 12/6.

Also hoping Pitt crushes Cincy this evening.

Actually, USD are I-AA or whatever they call it these days. The NCAA, in their infinite wisdom, went out of their way to destroy small-college football on the West Coast back in the 90’s, when they decided to make it impossible for schools to have Div 2 football teams but Div 1 in everything else. It forced my alma mater to drop their football team.
