Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

So it was an October Surprise A Day, like an Advent calendar but for crime.

They fucked up the fucking up of the fuckup!

Republicans seem to think life begins at the candlelight dinner the night before.

Let’s delete this post and never speak of this again.

… pundit janitors mopping up after the GOP

Why did Dr. Oz lose? well, according to the exit polls, it’s because Fetterman won.

I know this must be bad for Joe Biden, I just don’t know how.

A Senator Walker would also be an insult to reason, rationality, and decency.

A snarling mass of vitriolic jackals

🎶 Those boots were made for mockin’ 🎵

Yeah, with this crowd one never knows.

Good lord, these people are nuts.

rich, arrogant assholes who equate luck with genius

“Squeaker” McCarthy

The revolution will be supervised.

And we’re all out of bubblegum.

A dilettante blog from the great progressive state of West Virginia.

Conservatism: there are some people the law protects but does not bind and others who the law binds but does not protect.

Eh, that’s media spin. biden’s health is fine and he’s doing a good job.

We still have time to mess this up!

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Within six months Twitter will be fully self-driving.

Sadly, there is no cure for stupid.

Republicans do not pay their debts.

The webmistresses were tinkering with the site (I think, they told me something about kernels or what not and my eyes instantly glazed over), so we were a little slow today and had some page not loading issues, but I think things are back to normal. As such, a kitty:

Claim your pets.

Ahhhhhh! The site is back to speedy zippy and those be my kittehs doing their geriatric synchronized sleeping demonstration.
As a matter of fact, if you just put me and my MacBook, (sans make-up, clean hair, and bra) into that shot, it’d be like you were right here, now, in fake life!

Hey, JasonF — Willie and Bianca thank you for allowing them to ride on the heady winds of your famous coattails! This oughta drive traffic to their blog. Bianca (on the outside) was 16 in August and Willie will be 17 on NY’s Eve. They started life with me as small kittens in Monterey, CA. Not related by blood, oddly enuf. Both hyperthyroid and getting uber annoying in their old ages, what with all the bizarre howling at odd hours and screaming at me for food and attention.
They’re sweet. Seen me through a shitload of dark hours and multi-state moves. I can at least be tolerant of them in their golden years.

Thanks for pimping my geriatrics, John.

Slow blog and slow news. Oh well. Though we did learn that Big Dawg Bill shaved his beard off, and now since he’s moving to Washington, we New Mexicans can relax driving our highways and not have to worry about being run over by our maniac Gov driving near the speed of light..

Those cats look like enantiomers of each other. Or perhaps they’re meso compounds.

That’s two — TWO! — two cats for one (blog post)!

Are you trying to double our pleasure, double our fun?

    Meowci.

And, btw, the pages are loading MUCH faster now. Been really bad/slow the past few days.

    Why do I get blamed?
John said it was a problem
    With the site’s kernel.

    (Haiku-ey enough for you, srv)?

    Firestats wasn’t playing nice.

Since I’m my own webmaster, I perk up at the prospect of learning the details.

Don’t cats look like that most of the time? Mine do, anyway, unless they’re screaming at me for food.

OT, but Bill Donohue is shitting himself over some statuettes, umm, shitting themselves in Nativity scenes. It’s a Catholic thing, apparently.

Noting the fact that Bianca and Willie are two favorites of ours (along with their human, another favorite) we had to stop in and comment on their new celebrity status, as brief as it may be… autographs please?

Thank goodness. I was afraid Rachel had throttled the system once and for all.

@Incertus: "OT, but Bill Donohue is shitting himself…"

LOL! That is just too damned funny. Thanks for that; I never knew about that tradition. Bill Donohue can go take a flying leap. (I’m Catholic, and I approve this message.)

That made me LOL. I would say this is more a cis-geriatric kitteh molecule. /nerd
