Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

The real work of an opposition party is to hold the people in power accountable.

Yeah, with this crowd one never knows.

Stay strong, because they are weak.

Black Jesus loves a paper trail.

Boeing: repeatedly making the case for high speed rail.

Books are my comfort food!

Never entrust democracy to any process that requires Republicans to act in good faith.

Consistently wrong since 2002

Text STOP to opt out of updates on war plans.

Many life forms that would benefit from greater intelligence, sadly, do not have it.

I’m starting to think Jesus may have made a mistake saving people with no questions asked.

Good lord, these people are nuts.

Roe is not about choice. It is about freedom.

When they say they are pro-life, they do not mean yours.

No offense, but this thread hasn’t been about you for quite a while.

Compromise? There is no middle ground between a firefighter and an arsonist.

It may be funny to you motherfucker, but it’s not funny to me.

The rest of the comments were smacking Boebert like she was a piñata.

Jack be nimble, jack be quick, hurry up and indict this prick.

After dobbs, women are no longer free.

The fundamental promise of conservatism all over the world is a return to an idealized past that never existed.

Trump’s cabinet: like a magic 8 ball that only gives wrong answers.

You would normally have to try pretty hard to self-incriminate this badly.

Nothing says ‘pro-life’ like letting children go hungry.

The cuteness is just camoflage for the demon inside.

The demon wants the ball. To be thrown. Again. And Again. And Again. And Again.

    @The Critic:

You must be new here and missed the previous discussion. These are Jack Russell terriers, whose cuteness is allegedly only a disguise.

Which brings up a marginally related story. My sister has a Kerry Blue Terrier, which, because she was a Russian Studies specialist, she named Ivan. So naturally her husband calls the dog . . . . wait for it . . . .

    Ivan The Terrier.

Not new Delia, just found my appetite for political blogging has receded somewhat post-election. Missed the earlier post. Just in a personal downtime that will pick up as things progress.

Hell, I remember long long ago in the archives of time being personally insulted by Mr. Cole when he was a Republican. (If memory serves, it was Mr. Cole.) That was back when I commented under the name "electricidiot."

I’ve never seen a creature get "blue-eye" from camera flash. Even that’s cute.

I’ve been told it’s a baby thing… there’s relatively little pigment to reflect from the back of their eyes. Same reason puppies & kittens are usually born with blue eyes, and gradually turn brown (or amber or copper or green).
