I see where the Anchorage Daily News has reported that Sherry Johnston, Bristol Palin’s mother-in-law to be, was arrested on six felony drug charges. Remember that Bristol and Levi were rumored to run with some major stoners (mom Johnston included?). Rethuglican values live.

If you look in the little weather box just above the story headline on your ADN link, it says "Daylight: 10:13 am – 3:42 pm".
I am going to take my life in my hands this weekend and attempt to take christmas pics of the boxers wearing cute plush antlers. If it works out I will post pics (if I don’t get eaten, or the antlers don’t get eaten which is more likely).
Sweet merciful Christ, anyone on here from the Puget Sound area (there are usually like a dozen or more)? Day 3 of being shut in and no sign of this breaking for more than 8 hours in the next few days. So much for trying to get all my work done before the holidays.

Paulson just did a reversal of his reversal to reverse his previous denial of his erroneous intention to not request the last of the TARP which wouldn’t be needed unless it was, in which case he’s unsure of when that would be, unless it’s now or else some other time, at which time he will probably not reverse that decision.
Clearly, therefore, he’s now demanding Congress give him that other $350,000,000,000 so he can shove it in his pockets on January 19th.

I have two courses of action a) tell him it is Arnamade come home and he is just upset at being lost for so long and DH just doesn’t recognise him is all it is, or spill the beans and then listen to the lecture about "do we really need another cat?", whereupon I will pout, quiver my bottom lip and say "but babe he was HOMELESS" (I might even be able to squeeze out a tear if I try hard enough.

Is that game any good?
No, it’s terrible, that’s why millions of people have wasted huge portions of their lives and destoyed their interpersonal relationships. Because it is a terrible game.
@passerby: Nice try, but the real meltdown in the subprime market came from speculators–they were the first to default on their mortgages when they couldn’t flip out of their bad investments, and they were working with the really high-end stuff as well.

@Shinobi: Sorry, I shoulda been more specific. I meant the expansion specifically. I was raiding Sunwell two weeks after they released it. I’m well aware of the WoW drug. The Eastside isn’t much better, Crossroads area is pretty much in lockdown. It was surreal last night; the lanes on 148th pretty much disappeared and people just drove wherever there was clear road–"clear" being defined as only two or three inches of packed snow, as opposed to four or five inches or more of drift.
Nice try, but the real meltdown in the subprime market came from speculators—they were the first to default on their mortgages when they couldn’t flip out of their bad investments, and they were working with the really high-end stuff as well.
Incertus, you have misunderstood the point of my comment. I’m not laying blame for the meltdown on the backs of low-income Americans. Certainly, their involvement is one facet of this mess.
My point was to show where Bill Clinton actively encouraged them to be (or aspire to be) home owners. He was a high level playah in the scheme of things in view of his tax cut for sellers on the one hand and his encouragement of low-income participation on the other.
There’s plenty of blame to go around and that any of these facets bear more responsibility than others is subject to debate, but, please don’t characterize my view as being po-folks blamer.

@TheFountainHead Sorry for the ridiculous amount of sarcasm. I have to say that levelling up a Death Knight was ridiculously fun, there starting area was really cool, it had an actual plot and some really fun quests. (Stealing a horse, shooting things from the back of a dragon, good times.)
I just started Northrend, but I hear it has some quests in a similar vein.

…and I agree, it’s one of the fronts that’s worth defending.
There are those that feed off of the system and those that feed into the system. The lower-income population was feeding in.
Generally, I believe those in government conspire to benefit a certain group of people who feed off of their schemes by siphoning money out the the middle and lower classes…with great success. Even when it comes to the fixes. There is a group that will get money and a group that is basically SOL.
