Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Is it negotiation when the other party actually wants to shoot the hostage?

The republican caucus is already covering themselves with something, and it’s not glory.

That’s my take and I am available for criticism at this time.

I’ve spoken to my cat about this, but it doesn’t seem to do any good.

I’d try pessimism, but it probably wouldn’t work.

Something needs to be done about our bogus SCOTUS.

Fuck the extremist election deniers. What’s money for if not for keeping them out of office?

My years-long effort to drive family and friends away has really paid off this year.

Too often we confuse noise with substance. too often we confuse setbacks with defeat.

We are builders in a constant struggle with destroyers. let’s win this.

We are aware of all internet traditions.

Everybody saw this coming.

if you can’t see it, then you are useless in the fight to stop it.

T R E 4 5 O N

When someone says they “love freedom”, rest assured they don’t mean yours.

Republicans don’t want a speaker to lead them; they want a hostage.

Prediction: the GOP will rethink its strategy of boycotting future committees.

Wow, I can’t imagine what it was like to comment in morse code.

The cruelty is the point; the law be damned.

Putin must be throwing ketchup at the walls.

Republican obstruction dressed up as bipartisanship. Again.

Not so fun when the rabbit gets the gun, is it?

Despite his magical powers, I don’t think Trump is thinking this through, to be honest.

Our job is not to persuade republicans but to defeat them.

Dear readers,

I did not want to do this, but you have left me with little choice in the matter. Here is what I hoped would happen: I ask you guys to vote for Tbogg. Then unlike all the others, including us, Tbogg’s numbers go up. It’s a simple plan.

Judging by the way our numbers have changed, plan A has some holes in it. Let’s put this a different way.

It pushes the button for Tbogg…

…or else it gets the hose again.

Discuss.

Hey, I did my part. You can only vote once a day. And I’ve voted more than once since it started. Why punish me for the sins of others?

"Best Major Blog" sounds like it should be the military category.

I voted. So did almost 4000 others. Please take down that video and give me back the 20 seconds of life I lost watching it. I thought this blog didn’t condone torture.

    BREAKING DEXTER NEWS!
He married his sister! They eloped. On NY’s EVE, no less. IMO, the perfect wedding day.
Very cool. No wonder she kept getting skinnier and skinnier last season. Bridal Gown Syndrome.

I’m pretty sure that video violates the Geneva Convention.

Okay, okay! I voted. Although I think Celine Dionne doing AC/DC might actually be a tad more effective and was probably used at Gitmo.

I was only familiar with a couple of the blogs on the nomination list and I made the mistake of checking out the other ones and wound up voting for cjane. That’s good shit there.

…or else it gets the hose again.

That’s the expat Spain chapter of the RedState Strike Force. They’re being exhorted to come out of the closet to publicly wear their RSSF patch with pride.

    @Just Some Fuckhead:

I made the mistake of checking out the blogs under best conservative blog, thinking maybe I’d find something worthwhile. Ugh. How badly Sarah Palin was wronged really is the big story out there.

How twisted is your head to even be able to find a video like that? Is this why Michael left? You’re pushing me right into the warm & snuggly arms of Pastor Warren.

Rumproast has some good recommendations for the others.

I’m glad he’s endorsing Army of Dude as best military blog…hoping he can at least bypass that creepoid Blackfive.
