    While you’re waiting for site repairs, here’s an amusing diversion: A reader of Dave Weigel’s seems to have found the source of the Kenyan Obama Birth Certificate, and it’s hilarious:

    Seems to have been taken from an Australian genology website and modified… lazily. “Lavendar” and “Miller” remain as the surnames of the Registrars, and they didn’t bother to change the “book numbers” at all. Forgery fail, as if anyone would be surprised.

    We suffered through dial-up until a year ago, a punishment for living in the middle of nowhere. Comcast is paradise in comparison.
