Nothing I am interested in talking about, to be honest. I have better things to do than argue with folks that no, just because some folks at Reason and Malkin’s site have a gut feeling that eleventy billion people showed up at the protests this weekend, that doesn’t make it fact.

I’m a bit baffled by Malkin. Wasn’t she part of the “There’s no way 2 million people showed up to see Obama!” inauguration freak out? Because it was actually only 1.8 million or somesuch.
How could they possibly then claim 2 million made it to the protest when it was obviously so much fewer?

@The Other Steve: They are completely uninterested in the truth.
Thomas Lifson at the American Thinker yesterday had a quote from A Park service person claiming it ws the biggest crowd ever, and if you followed the link, it was to a piece about the… inauguration. When his commenters pointed it out, he “corrected” it by… removing the hyperlink but leaving the quote, so you could not know it was about the inauguration.

Cole, you know what I love about you? I love that the minute you post this thread, you post another one.
@The Other Steve: Because! Shut up, that’s why! ACORN! Also.
Seriously. You expect reason from MM1? (MM2 is McArdle and MM3 is McCain, the daughter).

Dylan Ratigan used to be serious when he was with respectable business news channel CNBC. Now he is another unserious news anchor on MSNBC.

Does anyone know where I can find the map that shows the areas that voted more Democratic/Republican than they did the previous election? The map is predominantly blue except for a red swath running from Arkansas to Appalachia.

@asiangrrlMN: He’s just giving enough thread to hang ourselves with.
BTW did everyone see the Dancing With The Stars promo featuring The Hammer? Definitely worth a click.

You snuck in the argument anyway, you clever bastard.

@ericvsthem:
Pretty amazing what’s happened to Ratigan, isn’t it? He is letting his freak flag fly since leaving CNBC. He was on Today this morning and I think he freaked out whatever Money Bimbo was appearing with him in the interview with Lauer. Her eyes were bugging out of her head because whatever it was he said (I was putting on makeup and wasn’t listening closely) shocked her so much. It made me LOL.

Doesn’t matter, really. It only matters to the tiny little group, the miniscule little group of people, who are part of this cult (and yes, I mean that term, they’ve become a cult.) For the rest of us who are sane (and that’s the vast majority of the country), it just makes them look desperate.
That’s what we can’t forget, John. They’re like cornered skunks. They’re fighting back with the only thing they have left, stench, but in fact, a skunk doesn’t have many weapons besides their stink glands. These aren’t cobras, sir. They want you to think they are.
They have nothing left besides urban legend and hyperbole. And I want them to keep on talking, keep on being themselves all of their insane glory. My fear is they’ll go underground again and stop talking. God, no, I want them up front and center, I want Orly Taitz right up there, I want Glenn Beck on the T.V. misspelling oligarchy, I want to see those protest signs, I want them heckling him during a speech. I want Rush’s bile and hatred out there. I want the rest of America to see it, all of it. Want them to see the stench.

Y’know I wish this blog would focus more on things that really matter.
How DARE Kanye West disrupt the VMAs like that. How can someone have so little respect for the sacred institutions of our society.

@John:
More importantly, those imaginary friends do not vote. Well maybe in Chicago, Iran and Afghanistan.

Just a reminder.

The Park Service doesn’t do crowd estimates. Sadly, No! found that out after the first time Malkin tried to bullshit the world into thinking that they had the awesomest turnout against hippiez evah!!!

Sure it does, they’re reality makers.
Actually got to see teabaggers in the wild, more like ultra suburbia, this weekend. Was taking the son on my bike to his first peewee football league game this season. Stopped at a traffic light there were about 40-50 of them beside us with signs at a major intersection.
Wasn’t going to say anything since my son was sitting right behind me and I’m supposed to be the adult. But glanced in a rearview mirror seeing the SO following behind us in her car shaking her head no. Made me laugh. Then one of the dweebs took offense asking if I thought socia1ism was funny. Told him I gave his group points for being better spellers than most of his fellow teabaggers.

I started a new hashtag on Twitter yesterday that’s generated some amusement: #MichelleMalkinMath.

OMG Obama is going to be on 600,000 Minutes tonight!

Heh. Limbaugh just claimed that more people turned out for the teabagger party on Saturday than did for Obama’s inauguration.

Eleventy billion people….can you imagine the line at the port-a-john?

I guess he’s now one of those People Who Died. I am sad to hear it. I must have played Catholic Boy about a gazillion times back in the day, and Basketball Diaries was a great book (the movie, not so much).

I see Sully’s thrown out a couple of posts on the national debt.
Let’s face facts: the debt and annual deficits are here to stay. Remember the last time we successfully ran a surplus? What happened?
We paid down our debt, no, wait, we declared a “peace dividend”, and then spent months arguing over how we were going to SPEND that excess cash, as opposed to being fiscally and responsibly conservative by paying our outstanding obligations.Stentor
Those pesky facts and their liberal bias.
