The only Twitter feed, or whatever you call them, that I like, other than Shaq’s, is Jay Rosen’s. I liked his PressThink blog too, but the posts were too long for me.
I’ve never seen him this mad before — link, link, link, link.

Pissed. Incensed. Unbelieving-but-not-really.
Me, too. Also.

I was confused because I thought this was the idiot who smeared Sonia Sotomayor. I am relieved to find out it’s not because I like this guy.
Oh, and the MichelleMalkinMath tweets are pretty funny. Cole linked to it below.

Ah..reading Rosen makes me feel so much better.

Yea! PRI’s The World (aired on many NPR stations) just read an on air correction apologizing for calling the Lewin Group “non-partisan” and not pointing out they get all their money form insurance companies.

Kudos to Jay Rosen.
A wingnut at Human Events has this whopper on crowd estimates at the 9/12 rally

First, let me say that I hate myself for clicking on a Twitter link. I find Twitter the most stupid thing ever and will never have an account there for any reason whatsoever. That said, wow. Jay Rosen is quite exercised over Time’s descent into madness. However, he should have gotten this pissed around the time I cancelled my subscription, which was when they had Sarah Quitter on the cover several months ago. They’ve been trying to court me back, but I’d have to say that a Beck cover that buys into Malkin Math won’t be enticing me back any time soon.

I think Rosen is still overwhelmed by that FDR-like line of GWB: “Anxiety can feed anxiety”

A local wingnut newspaper owner thought the crowd was closer to 3 million. I have no idea who he was quoting & don’t want to know, but he is one of those who believe the Clintons murdered people.

@asiangrrlMN:
That was Jeffrey Rosen. Jeffrey Rosen did the hit job on Sotomayor and then later tried to disown it.

Is the MichelleMalkinMath Twitter hashtag supposed to be for “numbers I totally trust because I made them up out of whole cloth?”
bago
You know, it’s weird seeing a feed in XML that is TOTALLY designed to encapsulate contextual data in a tree structure abused with labels & hashtags, the moral equivalent of a goto label in this searchable universe. Apparently most people with thoughts of 140 characters or less have contextual issues.
Primary linguistics aside, it’s nice to have a forum to vent on that is structurally designed to be short, concise, rude, and just soft of a place for lost thoughts in the ether. It allows you to vent, but when called upon it (searchable, remember) allows you to dismiss the emotional content with a wave of the hand and a simplle utterance of the phrase “Oh, you’re hung up on something I twatted about?”.
Clever that.

I don’t see what all the concern over crowd estimates is. Let these idiots think that eleventy-billion people showed up, and let the corporatist media help them perpetuate it. This way they will keep doing what they are doing.
Last night my moderate Republican, McCain-voting father said he’s done with the right. He can’t stomach the displays he saw on TV over the weekend. I’m sure he’s not the only one. The more this behavior is promoted, the sooner we get the complete full-on meltdown that renders the GOP obsolete.

I actually think Rosen has the ability to Twitter while sleeping. I’m not sure how the man gets any real work done as his daily post output has to be among the highest on the entire Twitter network.
Billy K
DougJ, I love you for your regular Costello references. That is all.
Elvis Elvisberg
Oh man, I was gonna say what Billy K said!
Also, it’s a giant mystery who these fuckers think they’re appealing to. Beck followers will never, ever, ever trust the MSM because they never pledged fealty to Bush. So… is this all about ducking a letter-writing campaign from those people, or what?

I agree with Billy K.

Hey, I also like the twitters of Down Goes Brown – though they may make considerably less sense to anyone who doesn’t follow Toronto hockey :)

My most exciting day in the Twitterverse ever was when Jay Rosen actually sent me a direct message.
ME! Can you believe it? I was practically giddy for days. Yes, it’s true, I’m rather easily amused.

I’m late to the party, but yeah, golf clap for the headline, Doug.

Ha. I nearly got a concussion falling out of my chair laughing when he said “chickenshit TIME magazine.” Coming on the heels of the “keep f*cking that chicken” meme just made it even funnier.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen him so mad either and I’ve followed him for years, off and on. He’s a great tweeter. And I agree his blog posts were way too long unless you’re a pro journo. But I’m learning a lot from his tweets. I’ve actually become a convert to the whole twitter thing myself. It’s good for some things and it gives you a sense that you’re communicating more directly with the big shots.
And JenJen you’re not the only one who got giddy when you got a DM from him. He RT’ed a response I made to him once too. I felt like calling all my friends to tell them. :~)
