Wife and I are currently in the theater waiting for Zombieland. Nothing like a zombie movie to keep the romance going.
Sarah Palin and Michele Bachman are holding a press conference announcing that after having carried on an affair for 2 years, they’ve decided to get married.
This is the netflix description of the first series:
This critically acclaimed HBO miniseries follows the efforts of guilt-ridden ex-cop Renzo Marquez (Julio Chávez) to bring a dangerous killer to justice. Five years ago, a hostage situation claimed the lives of four Argentine students and a teacher … but the murderer, who’s marked out graves for three others who survived the original incident (including Renzo and a psychologist played by Paola Krum), isn’t finished.
The new series has Renzo tracking a new very devious serial killer. The series also has a main actress Claudia Roth of Almodovar fame (she is married to famous Argentine singer- script writer Fito Paez). Though I have seen only 3 episodes I wait with baited breath every week for the episodes. Part of what I love about it is that you get a sense for the beauty of Buenos Aires as well as for the seamier side of it. The dark pulse. And the vibrancy of it.
I hope some of you will watch it. It is the kind of series that may fly under the radar here because it is in spanish but it is really worth it.
(but hey I tend to *love* foreign clime criminal/mystery series–on this vein I highly recommend Wallander with Kenneth Branagh based on the Henning Mankell books. Superb and out on DVD).
@valdivia: That’s looks fucking awesome. I’ll have to check it out. I love mysteries and such, and I love foreign movies.
@Cat Lady: I am envious. I just recently became hooked on Leonard. He suits my mood perfectly. I am listening to this song right now. I find it depressing and erotic at the same time–a perfect blend for me.

yes, this is why I love watching these. The Walander series is great too but a different vibe from Epitafios. Luckily they are both available on netflix (just the new one is presently playing on HBO).
