Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

I desperately hope that, yet again, i am wrong.

Let me file that under fuck it.

Not loving this new fraud based economy.

The revolution will be supervised.

This must be what justice looks like, not vengeful, just peaceful exuberance.

That’s my take and I am available for criticism at this time.

’Where will you hide, Roberts, the laws all being flat?’

The arc of history bends toward the same old fuckery.

DeSantis transforming Florida into 1930s Germany with gators and theme parks.

Many life forms that would benefit from greater intelligence, sadly, do not have it.

But frankly mr. cole, I’ll be happier when you get back to telling us to go fuck ourselves.

How stupid are these people?

Only Democrats have agency, apparently.

Let’s not be the monsters we hate.

You don’t get to peddle hatred on saturday and offer condolences on sunday.

Not rolling over. fuck you, make me.

When do we start airlifting the women and children out of Texas?

A tremendous foreign policy asset… to all of our adversaries.

Good lord, these people are nuts.

Let the trolls come, and then ignore them. that’s the worst thing you can do to a troll.

This year has been the longest three days of putin’s life.

Republicans firmly believe having an abortion is a very personal, very private decision between a woman and J.D. Vance.

Just because you believe it, that does not make it true.

Yeah, with this crowd one never knows.

At the risk of belaboring the obvious, can I just say that John Boehner is a fucking moron?

Why is it that some people (apparently including my wife) can’t internalize a simple truth about cats, i.e., if you feed them, they own you.

There have been two strays (who look like they must be from the same litter) hanging around by our front door for the last week. I got home from work at midnight on Wednesday to find them chowing down on a plate of dry cat food.

And yet the spousal unit persists in saying “No, we’re not adopting them.”

    Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuure.

Going out to see if the little buggers are getting any less people-shy.

In my mind, they already have names: Laettner and Hurley.

It’s amazing, because the White House anticipated the “error”, and released a clarifying paragraph with the records.

It’s just blatant, knowing misinformation. Amazing.

I used to believe the trick was to get ahead of the lie, but not even that matters, because the White House did that, here. They’ll just tell it anyway, and hope it takes off.

Safe home. Any chance you can walk through the front door at home with a video camera running? Lily’s joy ought to be a thing to see, and Tunch will be happy to see you, no matter what his outward demeanor. And we’re looking forward to more pics of them, this drought has been painful.

When I read this post I thought you meant you had been stuck in the airport for 24 hours, and thus (most assuredly) “out of the loop”. Say it ain’t so, John…..

@burnspsesq: I agree: “John Boehner is a fucking moron” – simple truth as it is – can’t be repeated too often.

@Pasquinade: As much as one hopes Drudge’s “epic fails” might eventually become realized by the public, these latest unfortunate examples will no doubt be quickly forgotten until the next outrage-du-jour; and the “fact” that “Bill Ayers and Jeremiah Wright” were guests at the WH will be accepted by the simpleminded right-wing as on a par with President Bush’s “greeting the war dead at Dover AFB”: i.e. absolute truths “suppressed” by the “liberal media”.
