    OK, I need some help. Just read the latest screed against Obama from Glenn Grenwald and wanted to get some of BJ’s thoughts about Obama’s Nobel speech.

    I didn’t read/hear it as anything close to justification for endless war or pro-active war, did anyone here read it that way?

    I thought it was a great speech about how the world is not black and white and sometimes you have to use war to get peace.

    Anyway, just wanted to see what others here thought. This is the only site that I think has level headed comments

    @tamied:

    Yes I did. Just what I wanted,. A furry little Terrier. Two years old or about. He was brought in as a stray and has had a very hard time but they don’t know his past, according to the pound folks. No one claimed him, which i found incredible as he is a sweet feisty little guy with good manners so far, and very smart. And took a bath like a champ without any drama.

    Mrs J volunteers at a local pet shelter and took some pics of a poor kitty that was brought in yesterday. I decided to open a shelter pet photoset on my Flicker page to record some of the pics she brings back.

    first step: stop doing that. Greenwald can be counted on to derive maximal panic from minimal input.

    Thanks all. I almost didn’t take him because he was really hyper, but did, and after coming home he has settled down greatly and is a little sweetheart. And curls up at my feet by the computer. I think he is glad to be out of that cold smelly shelter pen.

    Hope you guys are partying good up there in Brownsland :-)

    Regarding Greenwald and Obama:

    Yes, the irony of the Peace Prize recipient talking about war. However, I only sensed regret in Obama’s speech, and a lot of responsibility.

    Heck, I’d like to have our military dismantled and all the money go to homeless children: human AND furry.

    But no one elected me to do that… and no one is going to.
