    Larry O’Donnell is filling in for Keith and he and Markos just did one of the more dishonest pieces in memory on the excise tax in the Senate plan.* Will there soon be a time when Tweety is the most responsible person with their own hour show on MSNBC?

    *They both argued that there was a 40% tax on expensive health careplans when, in actuality, there is only a tax on the portion above 24K (to start as it rises every year) and there are plenty of exceptions for high risk activities. Its sad because it mirrors the same dishonest tactics conservative use to conflate the marginal tax rates with effective tax rates (ie. nobody pays 35% federal income tax on all of their income)

    I can’t take Keith’s stable of reporters and his “special comments” and his worst persons and his 10,000 days since the last president stuff.

    Rachel is good when she’s doing a serious interview, but otherwise, I’m all snarked out.

    Keith was good until I realized all of his guests agree with him. When one slips up and doesn’t Keith tries to do an end-round and make his point until said guests concurs. I like Rachel but by that time of the day I’m too pooped to care about the major issues of the day (I get her on the rerun.)

    I really just want someone to do some straight reporting and let me make up my own mind.

    The difference is that conservatives are usually lying. Markos and Larry probably just don’t know any better. Maybe they do, and are just trying to get some airtime by playing the contrarian angle, but I don’t watch MSNBC so I really don’t give a shit.

    You actually have to win a fucking Nobel Prize to get any serious airtime as a policy-oriented progressive. People realize this now, yes? Everyone else is on merely because they’re “influential”.

    I’m HCR’d out so I’m turning to gaming and beer before the in-laws arrive tomorrow.

    Man…I’ve been playing Mega Man 9 on the 360 over the last few days and I’ve enjoyed it so much I’m thinking about retrieving my old NES from Dad’s house and playing some of the old games.

    Mega Man 1 – 3, Contra, SMB 1 – 3, Tecmo Bowl, Excitebike, they don’t make ’em like they used to (though I do love CoD 4 and L4D 1 and 2)
