Obama sucks!
Persia
Damn, how did they figure it out?
El Tiburon
I bet it was Jane Hamsher.
You bunch of retards.
JenJen
Well, a concern troll told me that you’re an anonymous Democratic aide. So, there is that. ;-)
ETA: OBAMA IS JUST LIKE BUSH HE SOLD US OUT

TIA indeed.
rob!
As someone who writes blog posts for FDL and HuffPo while living under a bridge, I’m offended.
ellaesther
@JenJen: I like what I see that you did there.
licensed to kill time
Major Tom has been shot. Round up all the usual concern trolls.
ellaesther
@rob!: I take umbrage at your offense.
robertdsc
I got laid off of work today. Filling out the unemployment benefits thing. Not a great day.
Mario Piperni
My Fox tribute for all Bobblehead collectors far and wide.

I got emails from 2 different groups today asking me to call my senator to push for a Public Option via Reconciliation. Not PTDB + add a public option; just the Public Option. Firebaggers ride again?
Sentient Puddle
OK, need help here…what is ETA supposed to stand for? The only context I’ve seen it in means “estimated time of arrival,” and I’m pretty sure that’s not what the common meaning is here.
A Mom Anon
@robertdsc: We’re going through that here too,as of yesterday. I hope you find a better job than the one that you lost. Hang in there,I know it sucks.
Ash Can
I’ve heard directly from highly trusted sources who have pleaded with me to respect their anonymity that certain self-described Democratic bloggers believe that mixing goat urine into their coffee improves their sexual performance.
ellaesther
@robertdsc: Aw man, I’m sorry. That sucks. Good luck with it all.
ellaesther
@Sentient Puddle: I had the same confusion and JUST figured it out yesterday: Edited To Add.
BethanyAnne
My only confusion is why people engage that troll at all? He just comes over here to crap on folk.
ellaesther
When on an Open Thread, one should act like one is on an Open Thread:
Ahem.
I’m struggling with writer’s block, for a variety of reasons only some of them really understood by me, but I did manage to post something on my own blog today, essentially ripping off a column that I ran once in the Dallas Morning News, about body image and women and my own little girl.
I would be so happy if you come visit, and perhaps, even comment! (A writer’s-blocked girl can dream, can’t she?)
Me, Christina Hendricks, and writer’s block

@robertdsc:
That’s definitely a bad day, dude. Sorry you’re going through that. Sending positive vibes your way.
I had a pretty good day the last couple of days, despite some bad luck along the way. The mechanic that put in my new radiator let me take my car without paying yesterday. Told him I didn’t have my checkbook and couldn’t take out enough cash from the atm and he told me to come back today. When I did, with cash in hand, he lopped $25 off the bill and also showed me some hoses and clamps he replaced but didn’t charge me for. In addition, he didn’t talk to me like I am an idiot and know nothing about cars because I’m a woman. He is now my new go-to guy and I’m recommending to everyone in sight. In addition, the guidance counselor at the high school I was supposed to present at tonight called and we decided to postpone until noon on Saturday. Which is great.
All in all, it’s been a good day except for DougJ feeling like he has to punch a hippie or two with his kickoff comment here on this thread. Damn DougJ. Always punching hippies and using anonymous sources to hide behind.

@Sentient Puddle:
I believe it’s meant to mean “edited to add.”

Not me. I am an unconcerned troll. If someone would like to pay me a large salary, I’d also be happy to become a corporatist shill.

An observation I saw on TPM and am now buying into:
Bayh is not running for President in 2012. Bayh is running for Governor of Indiana in 2012.
Reasons this makes sense:
– Indiana term limit law says only that you cannot be Governor for more than 8 years out of any 12 year period.
– As of 2010, Bayh is no longer bound by Indiana’s term limit law.
– As of 2012, Mitch Daniels will be bound from running again under Indiana’s term limit law.
– Bayh made some comments about how he was “more of an executive person”.
– Bayh obviously wouldn’t try to primary a sitting president, as he is (1) not a complete idiot and (2) seemingly on better terms with Barack Obama than, say, Harry Reid.

I have it on good authority that when he decided to vote for cloture on the Health Care Reform bill Senator Nelson’s office was swamped with non-stop horrible abusive calls from Tea Baggers across the nation. The staff were used to picking up the phone and having nutjobs scream “you goddamned sluts!!!!” as loudly as possible into the receiver. It was non-stop, and the staff felt like they had been through a war.
So, what I’m saying is that those liberal bloggers must be really bad to actually get Bayh to quit.

@robertdsc:
Good luck, man. I hope your state expedites your benefits as well as NYState did for me. I have spent many months of the last decade living off of unemployment. Ironically, my employment has been the most stable the last few years.
beltane
@robertdsc: Sorry about that. It sucks, it really does. The only bright side is that you are now available to act as a paid corporate shill.
Cat Lady
@robertdsc:
I was on unemployment the entire year of 2009. It took the entire year to sort out the work thing, but I found an opportunity working as a contract person (no benefits but the husband has medical insurance) for 4 different clients in 4 different locations with more freedom and more potential than anything I have done in years. I’m way more of my own boss. Looking back where I was a year ago now, I kept saying to myself that it would all work out, hardly able to believe it, but it did. It will for you too.
Clark
I’m apparently supposed to deliver a bag of potatoes to my congressman.
Molly
@BethanyAnne:
The time I did was because I was freaking exasperated. People were having a good debate about health care, and here’s this troll jumping up and down and whining “But Dengre’s post pissed me off! Everyone pay attention to me! I require validation!” And he WOULD NOT SHUT UP.
Also, every time I see his handle, I think of the BTK serial killer.
Da Bomb
@robertdsc: I am sorry to hear that. I was unemployed for the majority of 2008 and I am finally really get back on my feet. Those damned private loan distributors are asshats!
But you will evetually get back into the groove and move upward and onward.
DonBelacquaDelPurgatorio
Concern troll? I’m a figure created by Dante.
I feel like hell now. Like hell, I tell you.

My dentist called on Friday to let me know that the impressions for my two new crowns didn’t turn out, so they would have to re-do them. I got to go in yesterday on my day off and have them re-done.
Did I mention that it turns out that I’m allergic to either the cement they use on the temporary crown or the temporary itself so my gums are busy running away from it and exposing my roots in a very painful fashion? If I seem a little extra cranky and unwilling to suffer fools gladly right now, that would be one of the reasons why.
mcc
One only assumes this was inspired by RedState’s infamously successful “mail rock salt to Olympia Snowe” campaign.
Delia
Sounds like he’s at the top of his game.
Fergus Wooster
@Molly:
That’s exactly what I was thinking on the last thread. His obsessiveness didn’t help. I was definitely thinking bodies in the crawlspace.
Clark
@mcc Rock salt the first thing I thought of. Also, the mailing of fake dog poo.
I suppose it’s better that I’m encouraged to drop off a bag of potatoes rather than mail it in, but then again, I think it would do the world a lot better if I were encouraged to drop off some canned goods at a local food pantry instead.
Rook
No, no, no, no! I am not a concerned troll, I am concerned about trolls. They are misunderstood creatures simply looking for love and affection like the rest of The Flying Spaghetti Monster’s children.
You really all should know better.
Shade Tail
True, that.
I recently picked up ‘Crystal Bearers’ for the Wii, and it’s a real blast. Pretty short story for a normal Final Fantasy game, but it isn’t exactly normal. It’s action/adventure rather than RPG.
Betty
I’m really worried about Democrats’ willingness to label people concern trolls. If the Democrats keep labeling all of their critics concern trolls and failing to address the issues that are important to them they soon wont have any supporters at all. Democrats need to look more carefully at their critics opinions and follow their advice, otherwise they are never going to keep the majority after November this year.
Molly
@Rook:
DFH.
I throw a punch in your general direction.
Molly
@robertdsc: I missed this before; I’m so sorry you’re going through that. Been thinking of A Mom Anon today too. Virtual hug to both of you.
very reverend crimson fire of compassion
@robertdsc: Sorry to hear it. If it helps, I’m mentally giving you an only slightly-inappropriately-long-and-tight hug.
Sentient Puddle
Well, it being an open thread…
Last night after work, I decided to download Plants vs. Zombies. Next thing I know, it was 11:45 p.m.

I finally played Mass Effect 2. It seems I am part of the 0.001% of ME players that miss the Mako. And inventory.
My wife loves it, so I am not allowed to call it “Doom 4”.
Edward G. Talbot
Anonymous, my ass. Just admit it, you know it was Rahm. He’s behind all this shit.
