Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Let me eat cake. The rest of you could stand to lose some weight, frankly.

Historically it was a little unusual for the president to be an incoherent babbling moron.

This isn’t Democrats spending madly. This is government catching up.

“Facilitate” is an active verb, not a weasel word.

I am so sick and tired of this bullshit:

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

Oh, come on. Rove’s just reminiscing.

If for no other reason, the fact that these scumbags are running around popping off at the mouth like this is why it was a mistake to not prosecute. I always wanted them to do it, but completely understood why they didn’t. Just disgusting human beings.

It wouldn’t have been so bad if Rove, Cheney and the rest had at least shown some gratitude and humility for the fact that they will never be prosecuted. They’re like rich kids who got caught shoplifting but who don’t suffer any consequences because their parents paid-off the shopowner to not press charges.

Meanwhile in America some poor kid is going to jail for selling a bag of dope.

Karl Rove takes questions from the public tomorrow morning on C-SPAN2

Karl Rove, senior advisor to President Bush and current Fox News contributor, joins us LIVE (Sunday at 10am ET) to talk about his memoir, “Courage and Consequences,” and take questions from Book TV viewers. We now know the identities of 9 Justice Department lawyers who defended Gitmo detainees, because it was “un-American” not to. Or something. Sure, that’s fine.

Do we know the identities of each and every doctor or psychologist that gave the affirmation that there were no long-lasting mental or physiological effects on those that were water boarded? If we do not, why don’t we?

Want them all in prison, and get why that’s the road to absolute insanity in Washington. I have been keeping myself out of the politics, for the most part, cause I’m just tired of it.

n other bright news, Keith Olbermann’s Dad passed today. Don’t know it that’s been mentioned in other threads. Whatever you may think of him, he’s been a mensch through this past year or so. Lost both parents inside of a year, and he hasn’t gone postal. I commend him.

This is just so freakin’ charged that the public support for investigation and possible prosecution has to be undeniable, irrefutable, and unimpeachable.

Speaking of which, the Repubs sooooo queered the system with the impeachment of Clinton that I don’t think the public-at-large is willing to take on the Bush administration, especially in hindsight.

    It’s sickening.

The only small (and I emphasize, small) glimmer of satisfaction I have is that these clowns are essentially under house arrest. If they leave the U.S., they very well could be scooped up in another country.

I’m just gonna copy and paste my comment on this very clip on yesterday’s open thread:

“Wow. I’m watching the podcast of Countdown from last night. Lawrence Wilkerson, the former chief of staff to Colin Powell, is on to discuss Karl Rove’s book and comments yesterday, and man, is he pissed off. I’ve never seen him so angry, and he’s been very strong some of the other times he’s been on there, and on Maddow too. It’s quite exhilarating. If I was Rove I’d give Wilkerson a wide berth, he seems totally ready to take him apart.”

Watching it again, O’Donnell is very steely in his introduction and starting the interview. I’d say he’s equally angry.
