I assume you’re packing and all that good stuff, John?
I find that when packing, people tend to fall into two categories: the ones who, when going through their stuff, decide “screw it, half of this stuff isn’t worth the trouble of packing”, and they give it away or trash it. And then you have the ones who, when going through their stuff, say, “screw it, half of this stuff isn’t worth the trouble of sorting”, and they just fling everything (old ATM receipts, mismatched socks, the lid from a tin of Quality Street) into boxes and bring it all with them.
Screw the wingers. I wanna know how I’ll feel on Monday when I wake up to my socialist paradise.

Got up, checked again–yep, Republicans still lying, heartless assholes.
Btw, my gf and I feed a pack of feral cats that live behind a nearby 711. About twice a week, we stop by and drop half a dozen cans of soft food, which they greedily consume.
I mention that every so often on my FB page, and after I did last time, one of my “friends” who’s an uber-right winger called them “Welfare Kitties.” WELFARE KITTIES.
That’s how heartless, narrow-minded, and just plain odd these people are.
What will the wingers do when HCR passes and no one shows up to euthanize Grandma?
I figure they’ll keep lying, since that’s what they do best. Their lies will fall into one of two categories:
1) They’ll make up some more lies about HCR, e.g. that their really are death panels and we’re too stupid to notice or,
2) Start lying like crazy about the next vital reform that Democrats are trying to pass, like Cap and Trade, Financial Regulation, or Immigration Reform.
Either way, backing down on the crazy is not in the cards.
I will be running a the ING Marathon in Alanta tomorrow morning. If I no longer comment after today, could you think of me first, then rejoice? (in that order)

The media will do the same-just heard on MSNBC this question and answer:
What if people have insurance through their employer and they like it?
Answer: The bill says they can keep that coverage and doctor, BUT are employers really going to keep paying for expensive PRIVATE insurance when a GOVERNMENT program is available?
My guess is there are too many bleached blondes on this AM and they missed the part where the PUBLIC OPTION isn’t in the bill.

They’re going to take it to court. Bill McCollum(remember him from the Clinton impeachment) and SC and VA AGs have said they are going to take it to court because the mandate is unconstitutional. And ofcourse, Roberts,Scalia and Thomas will want to take the case on. They have to keep the issue alive till the election. Also too, they’ll move on somewhat to the “Democrat ethics” crap with Blago, Rangel and Massa.

I used to toss everything into backs and take it along.
In this apartment, I have done a grand sort. I shredded papers, gave away clothes and got rid of everything I was never going to use.
When I move, some day, I am less than 3 hours to get everything out and vacumn (sp).
Apparently, Arizona just dropped their Children’s Health Insurance Program and rolled back Medicaid for childless adults which is supposed to drop 310,000 people from the rolls.
Dropping CHIP means they don’t get millions in federal matching aid.
And….more cuts will be made if the taxpayers reject a penny sales tax increase for 3 years. A fricking PENNY! It would be 6.6 per dollar. The referendum is in May. Arizona is the first state to do this but since the Governor is a Republican, I’m sure it won’t be the last.
Is it a coincidence that they happened to do this the day before the possible passage of the health care bill?
Pigs fly too. It’s almost as if Arizona is punishing their poor people and children for the vote tomorrow.
Arizona can secede tomorrow. Take it and John McCain and join Texas, Alabama and all those states that have been rattling their sabers about states rights.
That line plays well only until the bill passes. When people start benefiting from the bill, there’s going to be a lot of ‘hey, what the fuck’ coming at those state AGs.

She will not have the money to pay to take the kid to the primary provider which means she will take her to the ER. Heaven forfend the wingnuts miss an opportunity to take advantage of the most helpless among us. But don’t forget they are PRO-LIFE (until birth at least, then you are SOL).
That’s what I’ve never understood. Not that the public option was truly a government takeover of health care, but if it was in there, at least they’d have some (stupid, untrue) basis for their claims. But without the public option, the idea that the government is taking over health care seems even more baseless–as in, there’s nothing to distort, because there’s nothing at all. It is, in sum, a complete and utter fabrication. And yet, people keep repeating it. Why?
I have to imagine that they just won’t get anywhere. After all, is the president, surrounded by lawyers, and a constitiutional law professor himself, really going to let a signature piece of legislation–if not the signature piece of legislation–for his presidency die because of the way it was written? I don’t think so.

60-year-old Robert Lechter was first diagnosed with Parkinson’s 15 years ago. He has two Master’s Degrees and a PhD from Cornell. He taught at the University of Michigan and worked as a nuclear engineer.
Lechter was able to have a $150,000 surgery thanks to Medicare and the Cleveland Clinic. It has greatly increased his quality of life. He attended the event in Columbus because he believes in giving back and thinks everyone should have access to affordable health insurance and quality health care
