    Sorry, John. Tough loss and to Dook no less. I’d be hurtin’, too. Cheer up with some gospel from Cici Wynans. I don’t share her faith (or any other) but you gotta love some gospel music for its soul and beauty. The best churches to visit are always the African American ones.

    What’s the latest on Butler’s knee? I heard it’s a bad sprain, which doesn’t sound as bad as it looked last night.

    Tough loss Cole, but Duke played arguably its best game all season. Not much WVU could do there.

    Anybody but Duke, go Butler! Going to watch the classic “Hoosiers” before the game Monday to bring a little good karma to the game equation.

    Going to be hot in Atlanta today. Torture season begins with an alluring spring day.

    Sorry about the game. We despise duke too, just for different reason. (Georgia Tech).

    Sad end to the Mountaineers run. I heard that Butler’s injury was a sprain also, but when it happened, he thought it was a career-ending injury. Who could blame him for being afraid?

    I am rooting for Butler U against Duke. They’re a solid team and I always root for whomever plays against Duke. Let the little schools have some glory!

    Read that Butler’s injury was just a sprain, which is good for him. He said he was so upset because he really wanted to win it for the team and for his coach and that was part of the reason he was in tears. Seems like a nice guy.

    Sorry your team lost, John. Stings to lose to Duke.

    I’m all in for Butler on Monday. Time for a dream team mid-major to take it all! Especially against Duke. Talk about the Evil Empire.

    Go Bulldogs! Tough game for our Mountaineers. d00k sucks. Why is it that everyone hates those blue devils, me included? Could it be their arrogance, much like that of whiny ol’ Lieberfrauman?

    Dear Butler,

    We’re very sorry. It’s just Bidness.

    @Comrade Jake

    What’s the latest on Butler’s knee? I heard it’s a bad sprain, which doesn’t sound as bad as it looked last night. Tough loss Cole, but Duke played arguably its best game all season. Not much WVU could do there.

    Every year, 63 of the 64 teams in the NCAA tournament have a disappointing loss, including good teams like WVa who come up against an opponent who’s simply better, playing on a higher peak that day.

    As to the WVa COACH BOB HUGGINS, until last night, my impression of him was mainly as yet another over-the-top intense winning-is-everything college basketball coach who managed to barely stay within the bounds of ethics and courtside behavior – not particularly the sort of guy I’d want to trust with my athlete-son, if I had one. THAT CHANGED last night when I saw how Huggins dealt with Butler injured on the floor, Huggins cradling Butler’s head, his face inches from Butler’s, in a spontaneous display of deep concern and attachment for his player that simply cannot be faked. I also watched his interactions with his players and they among themselves as they came out of the game late, and the scene clearly came across as that of a team that was truly a family, with Huggins the caring paterfamilias. Yeah, Huggins’ courtside behavior during games is still a bit over-the-top for my tastes generally, but I have lots more respect for the man and how he probably runs his program on a personal level, just from watching how he interacted with his players last night in a disappointing game, especially the way he dealt with Butler’s injury.

    Sorry about the loss, I guess. It always hurts when your team loses. Just like happened to me when West Virginia rolled over the University of Washington in the Sweet 16….

    Coach Thuggins is an odd duck. Dresses like a thug, recruits thugs, doesn’t care about academics, is an alcoholic, and his behavior “on the courty” after Butler’s injury was very very odd. At one point I think they were touching noses and were ready to kiss……disgusting behavior for a coach, but his ego is larger than the state of west virginia, so i shouldn’t have been surprised.
