I thought the Derby sponsorship was pretty interesting. They weren’t advertising any of the known brands owned by Yum (Taco Bell, KFC, A&W, etc.) or their actual products, but rather their position is a friendly neighborhood global megacorp, along with their NYSE code. Brought up all sorts of associations between global capitalism and gambling.

Had a good time at Derby. Rained on & off most of day. Had a cover, so was dry when not betting/getting beer, etc.
Had a $10 excata on Derby that I cashed. That got me back up to even. Thank God Ice Box got up for 2nd.
Didn’t see Sen. McConnell (dammit).
