Hmm, somebody in there around 50 seconds or so certainly looks good in leather. I don’t know about the song though — no sound here at work.

Since this is an open thread, I have to mention this post by MattyY that includes the following words strung together:

That’s some serious Juicebox Mafia circle-jerking there.

@PPOG Penguin: Oh dear. Mr Jud will have the sads.

@Joe Beese: I shouldn’t write this here perhaps but my favorite headline of the day was Wonkette:
You don’t have to think “Obama is just like Bush” or even that it was the wrong move in order to find that depressingly funny, in my opinion, just the idea of signing the Bush tax breaks into law again….. oy.

@arguingwithsignposts: That was a very Romney-esque post by MattY.

Time for another moment of wingnut Zen
Looks like another Federal Judge down in Florida is getting ready to rule against ACA, seemingly the increasingly legal meme of somebody got to stop obama and the libtards.
The lizard brain opines
That’s right, life saving medical care is a commercial product, like buying a teevee, or car, or Xbox. And the commies are out of control, and something needs to be done. This rabid savior complex mentality is sweeping through the winger cadres like Cholera. And I now fully expect the SCOTUS five robed masters of the universe, to save the American wingnut damsel in distress and draw a line on use of the Commerce Clause with the HCR mandate, therefore opening the Pandora;s Box of wingnuttery to go after every progressive law that has ever been passed with the CC.

Today is my 6th anniversary. Tonight, we shall be dining at L’Etoile. I am looking forward to it. I am have trouble deciding between the 4 and 5 course tasting menus.

What, considering going w/o the cheese plate? In Madison? I don’t even know you anymore..
Not that I ever knew you..

So, this tax bill signing sure did wonders for the stock market today. I guess the boom is over.

@Crusty Dem: I have a ‘fridge full of cheese. I don’t want to overstuff myself tonight.

@Omnes Omnibus:
Congratulations! Staying in a relationship is sometimes not for sissies.

Then skip it. I’m not the biggest beef eater, but I’d get two separate courses of the Fountain Prairie Farm beef.
Congratulations and have a great dinner!
Omnes Omnibus
@Dennis SGMM: there is a closet full of dresses, none of them shabby… and shoes… and boots…
Thank you for the kind wishes.

@Omnes Omnibus: The menu looks delicious, congratulations on your anniversary!

@Omnes Omnibus: Do you have any space for your stuff in the closet, my husband is relegated to a tiny corner, not that he minds much.

Any Arizonans (?) in the house? I’m thinking about donating to an Arizona animal shelter in my mom’s name instead of buying her a gift she won’t use. Any recommendations? No kill is preferred.

I started feeling all sentimental so I had to add that last.

@schrodinger’s cat: Our first time at this place. It is arguably Madison’s best restaurant.

I think this article on Julian Ass-ange and the 3rd billionaire bailout is the best thing my alter ego Mikey Flannigan’s ever written. Yes, the two are related and it’s a must-read.

Don Van Vleit. That sucks.
69 for a rock legend is like 400 to you and me. The guy mustve been made of steel.

It was very wise of President Obama to sign his Bush Tax Cuts Deficit Upgrade bill so quickly; otherwise, Republicans may have accused him of holding it hostage until the DADT, START, DREAM Act and government spending bills were passed.

Being a splitter ain’t exactly easy either.

@Uncle Clarence Thomas: Uncle Clarence Thomas, why did President Obama legitimize President Bush’s country/soul destroying tax cuts this way?

Sad news about Don Van Vliet. He was one of those people I expected to live forever.
On the lighter side, some seasonal pics: The Twelve Santas of Christmas.

I’m waiting for the PETA remix where everyone wearing leather, isn’t.

@Paris:
That raises a question for me: how come PETA never pickets the Hells Angels?

Corner, the answer is transparently obvious to even the most casual observer: because in order to save the country. And you can quote me on that.
But remember, this is only the 7th Dimension of his overall strategery.

Corner Stone
@Uncle Clarence Thomas: Uncle Clarence Thomas, if He is saving the country by destroying it, then what can we expect during the next 4 dimensions of His strategy?

@Corner Stone:

Corner, President Obama will select only the very best ideas from every party – Republicans, Tea Baggers, Conservatives, and the Religious Right. The next four dimensions are going to be the deepest, richest ones… the big, fat ones.
That reminds me – Ginni! Four
dimensionsletters, bitch… C-O-K-E… And here’s four more – N-A-O-W!I has spoken.

@Uncle Clarence Thomas: Uncle Clarence Thomas, thank you for sharing your nonpartisan wisdom with us here.

Sad news about Captain Beefheart. Safe as Milk is an easy introduction to his music for those unfamiliar.
I picked up a copy of The Headphone Masterpiece a couple months ago. It’s a nice hybrid of R&B/hip-hop that sounds like Cody ChesnuTT was paying attention when his parents played their 60s/70s music.
