I have trouble doing this on my iPhone.
Superluminar
Try doing blockquotes on an iPod touch. I am now going to destroy the comity of this blog and invite myself for a Moore award by wishing Steve Jobs would DIAF.
WereBear
@Superluminar: I’ve found that the iTouch works best by first clicking on the designation you want, writing your comment or quote, then clicking it again, which has now changed to a / in front of it.

DougJ, Ayn Rand fans hang their collective heads in shame that you can’t go Galt.
The BJ article that was linked to was a classic and I’m glad to see that it made the list.
Southern Beale
The Wingnut Welfare Gravy Train Rolls On: because there truly is no fail too spectacular to drive a conservative off the op-ed pages. Start a war for shits and giggles? No problem!
JPL
@Southern Beale: Congrats on being awarded a Jon Swift post of the year.

@Southern Beale:
Hey! Good to see both you and Cole making the list. The Benen post is very worthy also.
Cat Lady
Someone took my suggestion for the BJ blog post of the year. Yay, me! I’m glad somone’s lookin’ out for this place. Also.
Professor
@Southern Beale: I went to your blog to peruse a bit. Don’t forget that the London Times and the Wall Street Journal are owned by Rupert the dirty digger Murdock. Just saying!

@DougJ: If I still had access to edit, I would be able to fix this. :-)

I miss Jon Swift! Never knew him but loved his work and frequently find myself wishing he were still around. Many thanks to all those who are continuing to pay tribute to Swift’s memory! He was great and it benefits us all that his work lives on.

Jon Swift was one of the real gentlefolk of the blogosphere; he’s missed.
Batocchio did a very good thing by honoring his memory thusly, and I’m grateful to him for grabbing one of mine. I chose one of my McArdle screeds — the Elizabeth Warren post that bounced around the web a bit. I’m not sure if it was my best — but it certainly travelled the most.
DougJ
@Michael D.:
Ha!
Batocchio
Thanks for posting this, Doug, and thanks to everybody else for the suggestions in the previous thread. Happy New Year, all!
Comrade PhysioProf
Wahy late and no one’s still here, but thanks for linking to this! Jon Swift was a true mensch, as is Batocchio for keeping the spirit alive, and so are you for linking!
