Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

We’re not going back!

Republicans: “Abortion is murder but you can take a bus to get one.” Easy peasy.

“But what about the lurkers?”

I’m sure you banged some questionable people yourself. We’re allowed to grow past that.

New McCarthy, same old McCarthyism.

There are no moderate republicans – only extremists and cowards.

Shallow, uninformed, and lacking identity

We know you aren’t a Democrat but since you seem confused let me help you.

Putting aside our relentless self-interest because the moral imperative is crystal clear.

Be a traveling stable for those who can’t find room at the inn.

The party of Reagan has become the party of Putin.

In short, I come down firmly on all sides of the issue.

Battle won, war still ongoing.

FFS people, this was a good thing. take the win.

The frogs are rarely mistaken.

Nikki Haley, who can’t acknowledge ‘slavery’, is a pathetic shill.

“woke” is the new caravan.

Republican speaker of the house Mike Johnson is the bland and smiling face of evil.

We still have time to mess this up!

The current Supreme Court is a rogue court. Very dangerous.

This must be what justice looks like, not vengeful, just peaceful exuberance.

… gradually, and then suddenly.

Some judge needs to shut this circus down soon.

Roe isn’t about choice, it’s about freedom.

All times are Eastern Standard on Saturday; Eastern Daylight on Sunday. Home teams are listed first. Listing live games only.

England:

The action is given over to the FA Cup this weekend. Without further ado, here’s the schedule:

Saturday, 7:40 a.m., Birmingham hosts Bolton Wanderers at St. Andrew’s Stadium on Fox Soccer Plus.

Arguably the match of the weekend has Manchester United facing off against Arsenal at Old Trafford at 12 noon on Saturday on Fox Soccer Channel. Both teams are missing key players due to injury: Nani, Rio Ferdinand, Anderson and Park Ji-Sung are all out for Manchester United and Cesc Fabregas, Alex Song and Theo Walcott are all out for the Gunners? Can Arsenal finally go through or will the Red Devils keep marching forward?

Stoke City meets West Ham United at the Britannia Stadium at 10 a.m. on Sunday on Fox Soccer Plus.

Manchester City hosts Reading at the City of Manchester Stadium at 12:30 on Fox Soccer Channel.

Italian Serie A:

Seventeenth place Cesena (LLDWW) meets eighth place Juventus (WWLLL) at Dino Minuzzi Stadium at 2:30 on Saturday on Fox Soccer Channel.

First place AC Milan (DWWWW) hosts twentieth place Bari (LDLDL) at the San Siro Stadium at 7:30 on Sunday Fox Soccer Plus.

The game of the weekend is the Rome Derby pitting sixth place AS Roma (LLLDW) against fourth place Lazio (DWWLW) at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday at 10 a.m. on Fox Soccer Channel.

Fifteenth place Parma (DLDDD) squares off against third place Napoli (WWWLD) at 3:30 at Stadio Ennio Tardini on Sunday on Fox Soccer Channel.

Spanish Liga Primera:

Nineteenth place Almería (LDLDW) faces off against seventh place Atlético Madrid (LWDDW) at the Estadio de los Juegos Mediterráneos at 12 noon on Saturday on Gol TV.

Second place Real Madrid (WWDWW) hosts eighteenth place Hércules (WLDLL) at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium on Saturday at 3 on ESPN Deportes.

Sixth place Espanyol (LLWLL) meets thirteenth place Deportivo La Coruña (WDDDW) at Estadi Cornellà-El Prat on Sunday at 12 noon on ESPN Deportes.

Fourth place Villarreal (LDDWL) squares off against sixteenth place Sporting Gijon (DDDLW) at El Madrigal on Sunday at 2 on Gol TV.

Eighth place Sevilla (LWDWL) hosts first place Barcelona (DWWWW) at the Sánchez Pizjuan Stadium on Sunday at 4 on Gol TV.

German Bundesliga:

Fifth place Bayern Munich (LWWLL) hosts seventh place Hamburg SV (WLWDL) at the Allianz Arena on Saturday at 9:30 on ESPN Deportes.

Fourth place Mainz (DLLWW) hosts second place Bayer Leverkusen (LWWDW) at the Stadion am Bruchweg on Sundayat 10:30 on Gol TV.

Thanks for the updates. This reminds me to check the TV when I get out of bed (typically early, no matter how late I go to bed–ahem, like tonight). I don’t get Fox Soccer Plus, but I do get “regular” Fox Soccer Channel and ESPN. Looks like some good matches this weekend.

The action is given over to the FA Cup this weekend.

The workers control the means of production? The struggle of the urban proletariat?

    Birmingham hosts Bolton Wanderers

    Aw shit…

There are also additional games on ESPN3 – which is online. In addition to some crossover with ESPN Deportes they have:

Werder Bremen vs. Monchengladbach at 12 30 pm ET.

Zaragoza v. Valencia at 4 pm.

Does anyone with a cable hookup actually have Fox Soccer Plus?

    Go City!!!

I would love to see a City v. United FA Cup match so I am going to try and root for the soul-less bastards at United today.

    @Blue Neponset:

“Does anyone with a cable hookup actually have Fox Soccer Plus?”

Yup. Watching Derby – Swansea right now. Derby has a shock early lead, courtesy of the most embarrassing own goal you are likely to ever see.

If you want to see a wild crowd, look in on the PSG match. PSG has two competing groups of ultras who make Oakland Raider fans look heavily sedated by comparison.

@Blue Neponset: I do as well.

@vanya: Thanks. The penetration into markets for ESPN3 is still pretty limited, so I’m still focused on the television offerings.

Nice win for us today, considering we started 5 fullbacks and Darron Gibson.

@Randinho: is there any outside of colleges, which all have free acess.

Also, I think Fox Soccer TV is pretty much like ESPN 3 with the Fox Soccer Plus programming
