The angel has indeed spread her wings. Welcome to the next level Maddie, no matter what you find that to be.
Maude
I am so sorry.

Goddamnit. (sigh) Diagnosed barely 3 months ago. I’m speechless and in tears. May her parents have many hands to hold right now.
Angry Black Lady
It’s so sad. I don’t know her parents, but a good friend of mine does.
Elvis Elvisberg
Oh no. Just unfathomable. Condolences to you and your friends, ABL.
What an admirable project they’ve pursued at such a difficult time.

So much life crammed into so little time.
Onward to the next level, Maddie.

@Angry Black Lady:
Wish them well, all of them, and give them our sympathies.

Explosions in the Sky – Human Qualities
If they had heard about you, their music would have been yours, of you and for you. Goodnight, child. Rest in peace.
Angry Black Lady
I love Explosions in the Sky. Such haunting music. I listen to them a lot.

@Angry Black Lady:
I’ve seen them live twice. I would almost describe it as a religious experience if I wasn’t so damned secular. And then when the TV series of Friday Night Lights came out, I was taken enough as a fan of their music to give the show a shot. Boy was I rewarded tenfold there. Their new album comes out in April, and I posted a song from it as it’s already been leaked to youtube and elsewhere. Here is another brilliant track from the album: “Postcard from 1952“, and the layers of drums are just amazing. Seriously, every track on this album is solid, at least upon my first listen. That is, except for Track 3, “Trembling Hands”, but I suspect this release is gonna be on repeat for me for quite some time.
Night all, and hug your kids, pets, and loved ones. If you’re short on those at the moment, hug yourself, for Maddie.

What Shakespeare did not say…”How sharper than a serpent’s tooth it is to lose a thankful child.”
What a goddamned shame.
Gregory
That’s just awful. I’m so sorry for their loss.
Dave
I’ll keep them in my prayers. It’s a burden no parent should ever shoulder.

life can be so unbearably cruel and unfair at times. Shine on peace and love. Tell someone you love today how important they are to you. Help a stranger; smile at a passerby.
ABL – thank you for sharing Maddie’s Story with us.

What you said….
Ruckus
There really are no words for the loss of a child.
Angry Black Lady
@freelancer: I had never heard of them before Friday Night Lights and I found myself wanting to know who composed the title song.
Gah, I love that show.

Poor little girl. Makes one wonder why you’ve been so lucky in your life (healthwise) & this poor little girl didn’t even make it to 7.
TANJ.
God bless her & her parents.

Run in Peace, little one. May you look in on your parents from time to time so they can feel your presence once more. My deepest condolences to the family and friends of Maddie.

Life isn’t fair, but this is cruel beyond words.
